Hi all, ive got a gas gas txt contact 1999 and just started trials as a beginner. Are the older bikes that much heavier than say a 2005 year bike, the new bikes seem very slim, can they make much difference when you want to hop the front or rear. when you see the pros ride they make the bike look very light, would a pro be able to make an older heavier bike move like a new bike? I spoke to the trials mechanic here who said he'd change the springs in the front forks for $30 each plus cost of spring ( not sure what spring go for?). I wonder if that's a cheap and decent solution to the bottoming out I get when doing small jumps? The damper adjusting didn't help. still bottoms out. Back doesn't bottom. this bike has 4 to 5 years hard riding on it, so I've read about giving it a "re-charge". What exactly is done? I need to give the rear suspension some life back? Can the gas inside be re-pumped in or....? I adjusted the damper knob on the rear both ways and it's hard to tell a difference. THANKS for your help. Let me know what you've done to your …

hi i have a 2000 sherco 250 and the chain is comming loose nearly every trial and i dont know why i unloosen it and the pull the wheel back and it works but then the next trial it comes loose does any one know what the problem is? thanks r.hayes

Thinking about one of these and there are two versions. One has a small diameter neck that includes a pouring spout, whilst the other doesn't. Does anyone know if the small diameter neck is still big enough to be filled easily from the spout of a plastic 5 litre spare petrol container, the general car type sold everywhere? Thanks

Hi we have a couple of bikes, Beta Evo 250, Oset 24R and now a great TY80 that my 15 year old lad Matthew will strip and rebuild to hopefully a nice bike. Saw a post on here about an easy way to do this, bead breakers,driving over it with a van and spades, just had the Goat (Ryan) do a new Dunlop for me in under 5 minutes just using 2 tyre levers and a bit of carb cleaner. Saves me a job tomorrow and a load of sweat and swearing. If your reading this Ralph, hes saved you a job as well as no doubt I would have given up after an hour and brought it round your house to do. Looks like the secret to it is momentum and brute strength, the bead on the dunlop is very tough compared to the michelin but no problem for ryan

I remember seeing this on the internet a while ago. I think it was USA designed and built, but havent heard anything after about it since. If I remember rightly, it was designed as a pit bike toy rather than a kids bike Anyone know if they are available to buy anywhere ? It looks good and could be something to try for my eldest
