October 27, 20214 yr Hi we have a couple of bikes, Beta Evo 250, Oset 24R and now a great TY80 that my 15 year old lad Matthew will strip and rebuild to hopefully a nice bike. My questions for now how do I identity the year / model etc. I suppose really I should not but here is the Frame / Engine number 451-111511 And where's the best place for bits. Cheers Mark & Matthew
October 27, 20214 yr Unfortunately this site has a gap, so it was made sometime between 1975 and 1982, lol Little bit of advice, the Haynes for the TYs includes the TY80, which might be handy
October 27, 20214 yr Definitely hang onto the TY80. I bought a minter for my son when he was about 10 but he never got into it (skateboarding took over). Wonderful little bike and wished we’d kept it. TY Trials are really good - have used for my 175 with great service… https://www.tytrials.com/trailandtrialsuk/cat_43326-1-TY80-Parts.html Good luck and keep it for the family heirloom!!
October 28, 20214 yr Hi, I would try "Yambits" UK based and very helpfull. They have a Dating service, and carry a vast array of parts at very reasonable prices.
