I recently started a thread asking about a trials bicycle for cross training and the opinions were divided! I got an ECHO Mark IV 26" anyways and after riding for few weeks I was not so sure that the bicycle can really improve skills in the motorcycle. Yeah... we all know it improves balance, but other than that, the bicycle is still a lot of fun and great exercise which ultimately will improve athletic ability. The following Video goes to show that the Bicycle might not be the answer! Otherwise I assume Smage would be a 22 time world champion instead Bou. we all know that Pat spends a lot of time in various bikes including unicycles! He is also an amazing Trial…

Hi all, Its time to change the front tyre on my Beta Rev 3 I've already done the back one..which was OK...but I've never changed a front one before. I assume the bolt things are to grip the tyre on??..so presumably I have to undo those first??....but presumably they are pretty fiddly on replacing the tyre?...Then I guess I have to be pretty carefull not to pinch the inner-tube with the tyre levers. If any of you can give me some advice I'd really appreciate it. THANKS

Hey there guys this is just a question purely out of interest, I recently started the sport and am absolutely loving it so much fun! I’m intrigued to know what are the stereotypical characteristics good and bads of the different brands eg gasgas, beta, trs, sherco, vertigo? I know a lot is personal preference but just trying to make sense of it all. cheers

I rode in the Shinx LDT yesterday and had a thouroughly brilliant day out. We were on our bikes for seven hours and covered around 90 miles. The 30 sections were all observed and the event was superbly organised by the Cheltenham Home Guard Club. The one issue which I have, is the 'no inspection allowed' rule. Our own LDT, the OK Supreme, has also used this rule in the past but I am now wondering if it is appropriate. On the plus side, it keeps the trial flowing, there are few or no queues and sections can be wider and simpler. But on the negative side it means that you often ride into a section with no idea where you are going and what you are going to be faced with. …

Is riding trials for a hour or 2 considered a good cardio workout? I tried asking on a fitness site and they all laughed at me, no one knew what trials was.

Hi, I maintain my daughters Beta 125 (06), which has up to now been bomb proof, however the last time out the fan started to run continously! Changed the thermostatic switch in the bottom of the radiator, and the fan no longer ran all the time. This time out the bike overheats, fan not running at all. If I short out the terminals

Hey guys, I was just wondering if I could get any opinions on the sherco 250 and 125 around the 08 model as opposed to the beta rev3 250 and 125 or vise versa. At the moment I have a 2001 Beta rev3 250, would there be a big enough difference to consider buying newer bike? Cheers Brad

I had a job interview yesterday, and when I came home, the first thing I needed to do was to get out of the 3 piece suit and collar & tie, and of course get my shorts and sandals on...... thats the way I roll. When I had stripped off, and was about to put my garage shorts on, she squaked..... I thought one of the cats had either crapped on the bed (highly unlikely) or brought a kill into the bedroom. When I asked her what ?? he pointed at my ass and said.... "What happened there? " I checked in the mirror and found that Chads Farms wobbler 10 days ago had left a mark on my side, I probably did not leave the stones and tree roots unmarked either though. I had done…

I done a oil change on my sherco 290 today, only brought it last week. When I emptied it out it was very light purple in colour. At first I thought it was water getting into oil, but I was told by last owner that it has had all gaskets replaced. I looked in radiator and the water level is fine. Does anyone have any ideas why the oil is this colour, is their a brand of oil out their that is this colour and their is nothing to worry about? Cheers Justin

Hi all Iv got my 290 2006 sherco out of the garage where it's been for the last 18 months. Put in new fuel, cleaned carb, new plug, cleaned air filter/box etc.. It started straight away to my surprise, BUT! It's over revving, not just a little but at full revs, and won't cut out. I'm really worried that if I try again the engine will blow up. The only way I could stop was shutting off the fuel.(was going to stick in gear with breaks on but not ridden for a while and clutch sticks a bit, so didn't fancy getting splatted against wall!) Idle screw on carb is as it was before I cleaned, 3 1/2 turns. Throttle cable seems ok, I can see everything sliding up and down as it …
