I wonder if someone could help me a bit. It's been decades since I've touched 2 stroke anything! Two bikes, one Sherco 250 Factory and a Beta Evo 80. Sherco say it needs a 2% premix, Beta say 1.5%. In this situation, can I get away with carrying a single 10L can mixed at 50:1, or should I go 60:1 and split the difference between the two bikes, or should I carry 2 separate cans at different ratios, which I think are 50:1 (Sherco) and 70:1 (Beta)? We will not be ragging the bikes around, as we're just novices. Also, can anyone recommend a premix oil that might suit both bikes (UK based)? Thanks

Jitsie sells these sleeves that Cover the inner tube portion of the forks. and the seals. Intent being to keep dust, mud and other debris from messing with the fork seals potentially creating leaks. It seems like a good idea but, I notice the pro's do not have them on their bikes. Does anyone have any thoughts on these sleeves? Good idea? Bad idea? Any and all thoughts are most appreciated.

I'm thinking of changing my bike in the not too distant future and have narrowed it down to the 07 250 gasser or the 07 250 sherco. I wondered if any one had any advice. I'm 40 year old rider and not very good or likely to be any good so i just want something thats easy to ride but light and responsive any comments folks?

hi i am thinking about buying a new airoh helmet what are your views about them e.g.. what are they like to see out of, do they block your view whilst going up hills or rocks, are they comfortuble to wear you get the idea...

hi ive just baught a 1993 gas gas 250 in need of some tlc,first off there is a milky oil dripping out of the crank case breather wen running is this the crankshaft oil seals,also were do i get parts for this bike such as body panels & mechanical,cheers

Hi,got a couple of leaking spokes on a tubeless rear rim, is their an easy way to cure this? Also dose anybody know of anywhere that dose reasonably priced carbon fibre sheet apart from ebay. Thanks in advance.

hi last sunday i was at a local trials advent when i had a very nasty crash. i was in 4th gear and wheelying through some open area to another trials spot when my rear wheel found a tree stump among all the debrey on the floor. this resulted in both feet bouncing off the pegs and me being dragged behind the bike with the throttle pinned open. i was unable to leg go off the bars and could see two trees straight ahead of me getting closer very quickly. unable to turn or brake i went straight into the tree with such extreame force the front end of the bike folded backward the crush the header piper. bottome yoke snapped and also the treads for the top nut completly strippe…

i am curenty trying to find a permenent solution for carrying spare fuel when i am on a long run i can not take a 5 litre jery can as they are to big i have tryied some special 1 litre plastic cans but they some times go off with a bang if you land on them or the top fails. i have tryied some metal drinks bottles but they have bad seals or the top swels up and is very hard to get off. any idias would be great thanks.

I’ve heard a few people mention that once I start my bike on the choke, to take it off the choke as soon as possible. Is this right? Does it matter how long I run it on the choke? Is there a better way to start a 2-stroke? I’ve never had any trouble in the past but just wanted to make sure I was doing the best for the bike. As you can probably tell I’m quite new to trials!

Does anyone have a video on how to change the oil on a Gas Gas TXT Pro 05? I was speaking to some people and this was the first I had ever heard about having to change the oil in the bike after every other ride... I feel like an idiot now... and I have no idea how to change it as I've never decided to learn! Sorry! D:

Had a little search and can't see a thread on the subject. When I first got the bike I did it after every ride now the novelty has worn off I haven't done it for the last 4. Where I ride isn't dusty or isn't at the moment and probably won't be even when hard packed. I use the straight liquid rather than the spray as it seems to be tackier and less wasteful. So how often do you do it if it isn't to personal. And if this questions not but the answer might be you've watched a certain western film as many times as me! If you get me!

I am getting my beta 200 "98 ready to use and i was doing the headstock bearing this morning. when i took the forks out one obviously had a spring in it and the other one didnt. when its working together it feels alright i suppose, a squidgy front end, not too much sag, rebound is quick, when stationary and balancingif i give the forks a good push and pull the front wheel comes up easily into a little wheelie. the left fork has what looks like damping adjustment and the right fork looks like it has the rebound. tried to find a few pics online to compare mine to but cant get the pic i need. I hope thats made some sense. i didnt put it in the beta forum because i bet if on…

I ride road bikes with a buddy at work. His only dirt bike experience was with a YZ125...two weeks on crutches afterward, so I worked long and hard to get him out on a Trials bike. I showed him all the videos and stuff, and he thought they were neat, but they jast reaffirmed that there was no way he would ever try that stuff. It's taken a year, and 3000 miles on the road bikes, but I finally got him out last week, on my two GasGases, a 280 and a 321. Guy was real pensive at first, so I did a little pit training, then we just sort of played follow the leader and I took him on a gentle trail ride through the rocks. Hi guys. Im looking for a new rear tyre fur my monty 4ride..its fitted with a dunlop 803.i like the tyre. But use the bike mainly fur trails n roads..do do actual trials..its great grip on the road (soft) knoblles are ripping themselfs off especialy in the middle run 10psi but ave been lookin at a mitas e01 anyone used this. Or any recomendations of a decent all rounder..

What is the best way to remove oil and carbon buildup in an aluminum expansion chamber. I understand caustic soda will damage alum.
