Hi all, New to the forum and I am looking to return back to trials after 18 years (I used to ride a Yamaha 200 Magesty). I wouder if anyone can help! I went to watch a local trial event to try and get some info on the bikes I am looking at (considering a gas gas 250 or beta 250 98-2002) anyway one guy said try not to buy anything older than a 2001 model because they have made some major changes to both bikes and a second opinion I had was not buy a 2002 gas gas as they are prone to loads of touble. I am very confused and would appreciate any advice. Cheers, Neil.

Alright all, thought I would pop in and say hello. From Halifax, have a couple of triallies and some others, a scorpa 250 from the late 90's (I think!), and a montesa cota 349. On the road I have suzuki SV650, GSXR750, Yam RD400, cagiva planet. I need a bigger garage TBH! I will be looking to turn up at some meets (when my bikes are in reasonable health!), but I have the slight hindrance of no cage license. So am limited to local stuff... Cheers Chris

Hi all just brought a Monty 315R first solo trials bike i have owned, used to ride sidecar trials with my dad, he was an top class rider when he was younger and i rode with him for 8 years when i was old enough and really enjoyed it. Haven't riden solo much at all and its 15 years since i rode at all. Run a cycle shop here in North Devon Uk so still ride "bikes" . Really looking forward to getting out on it soon, but prepared to be completly rubbish. Would be nice to find out if there are any groups that practice/socially ride locally to me. Just got a couple of things on bike i want to sort, clutch needs a bleed and adjust, and possible clutch oil change as there is a …

Greetings from the foothills of California. New to trials (been riding dirt/street 40 yrs) and after riding a friends trial bike, I've been bitten. Been watching Toni Bou videos and figure I can at least start my bike as well as him, but that is where it would end. Have rocks on my place that beg to be ridden on so figured I'd have built in practice area. Might get a friend's backhoe over to roll some rocks and obstacles together to built up more challenges at I improve. Looking to get a good starter bike, might trade a DRZ400S for one if the deal works. Suggestions welcome on what to get. Thanks for this forum which has a wealth of knowledge, now to just get throu…

Hello all, I am new to this forum. I just purchased a 1971Ossa Mar from an individual who lives in denver colorado at a very high altitude. He has a mikuni on the bike. I live in sacramento California at sea level and occaisionally ride at around 2 thousand feet. My question is do I need to rejet the mikiuni to run richer e.g. needle position, main jet size, etc or can I leave it. What I don't want is for the bike to run too lean. Sorry but I don't know the model of the carby yet as the bike is still on the way. In any case your help is greatly appreciated. Sincerely Paul and Donna

Rode schoolboy trials on my Yamaha TY175 and a Beamish RL250 Suzuki aged 12 ~ 16, at 16 got a road going 50cc and left trials behind in 1984. Then came back to it in 1989/90 with a Yamaha TY250 mono and did a couple of years then totally gave it up UNTIL 3 weeks ago when at home minding my own business watching Discovery channel on sky people trials riding on Petrol Heads and for some unknown reason something in my brain went DING I want to do that again, so after trawling through the Auto trader ended up with a Gas Gas `04 280 Pro for what I thought was a fair price. After not much discussion with Her indoors I came home at 11.00pm after a 230mile round trip with the …

Hello to you all. New to the site, jumped the gun and have already thrown a question on to the Beta section. This is my first real effort at trials biking. I have done trials before with the Army but a Harley can be a little restrictive to your abilities. I am based around Warminster, Wilts but spend a lot of time at Stourport, Worcs. I will be looking for a club to join in both areas to get out trialing asap, well as soon as I have sorted a couple of small problems with my Techno. If you see a 4x4 at a trial with my user name on it feel free to give me a nudge as Im looking forward to meeting a few of the members. Cheers Lee
