Hi there. I've recently bought a TY250 Mono and almost fitted a towbar to the car. Many years ago, I owned some nice TL's and I visited a local Trial at Hood Green in Barnsley last weekend. Do any of the members know of places where it is legal to ride, without incurring the wrath of Plod and residents? I believe that there is a site at Buxton, certainly Derbyshire, where trials machines can practice. Any comments are appreciated and It will be good to meet with like minded people. Kind regards, Simon

Hi all It has been a while since I rode and I am badly in need of some practice! The places I used to go to about 15 yr ago, Tholty, Glen Lough, Dhoon Quarry etc all seem to be no go areas now and I think that Laxey mines may be off as well due to it being on DAFF land? Any manxies know where it is OK to ride now? Kind regards Brokeback [/size]

i have just started trials riding after a time doing enduro. instantly i find it to be more my thing! could not be any more fun and stress free. i ride a 1995 montesa 314 which is in good condition. some of the lads where i ride seem to think my bike is quite dated , would there be any advantage in me having a modern bike at this stage, or should i keep my bike for as long as it works well. john

Hi all, i`m 36 just getting into trials and I have bought a 1971 bultaco slimline off of a friend who is a collector of ossa`s. I new the bike had a top end rattle when I bought it and we stripped it down this morning. The piston is a mahle and has K printed on the top and nothing else. it needs a rebore and I dont know what size piston kit to get, any ideas? It is a 250cc by the way. I`m sure ill be posting on here quite a bit in the coming months!!!! thanks P.s Does anyone know of a product to seal the inside of fibreglass tanks?

Hi im Mick from west Yorkshire, Ive just got myself a TY175 after not having one for about 10-11 years and ive picked up a TY50 single seat for my 9 year old boy to start out on. Never thought I would get back on a trials as im parlysed bellow the knee both legs and have a cobalt chrome hip. But with the miracle of carbon fibre wrapped around my lower legs and a good pair of boots im going to give it another go because I cant really play football with the boy so ive got to do something to get him outside with me, kids today.

Tyre pressures, suspension setup etc. Also do not have a clue on kit, where and what to buy. I have experience of various road bikes, but no off road experience. In at the deep end!

Hey guys, I'm Ian and i've just joined and i'm from Wakefield. I'm probably a bit old to be just getting into this at 29 but I feel like a new hobby. Despite my first child about to be born mid August. I guess it'll give me a decent escape for the day to de stress I don't have a bike as yet, nor transport and towing eye on car. All will come in time. I am going to start with the bike as I can learn to balance and such before getting out anywhere! I do have a mate who will join me as well but will not have much money for a bike, neither will I to be honest but we will have to start somewhere. I would appreciate any suggestions on bike choice. I'm looking to spend aroun…

Hi all, my names Luke and im 16, i am currently rebuilding a 1951 Bsa Bantam into a trials bike, ready for competing. I get my license in october so the restoration is going slow and should be ready to ride in october. I bought the bike standard, with the silly mudguards and 19'' wheels and the engine didnt run. I have pain stakingly rebuilt every little piece of it, from the engine, wheels, forks, mudguards etc etc I have fitted a 21'' wheel on the front and left the 19'' on the back as i like the little higher ride height. Knobbly tyres, genuine competion footrests, and heavy duty forks, alloy guards, wider handle bars, high rise exhaust, larger rear sprocket and a ra…
