Hi to everyone on the forum. Just been looking for trials bits and bobs and came across the forum. I've not ridden for about 18years, used to ride schoolboy trials in the 80's and 90's. I've seen Chris Hanan's name mentioned and Shirty Jnr who I used to ride with. Used to ride for Sheffield and Hallamshire. Just bought a gasser 280 and will be riding first trial on Sunday at Barnsley if I can remember how to ride, not had any practice!!!!!.

Hello, I just joined the group and thought I should introduce myself. My name is Eddie, I live in Oakland, California. A few years ago I enjoyed riding AHRMA vintage trials on my Sherpa T 191 and also on a Suzuki RL Exacta. After falling off too many times I have retired from competition (I had great fun but never even placed except for the time I came in 2nd out of 2 at Hangtown) had both shoulders re-built, both knees scoped and now I'm rebuilding my bikes. Next on the bench will be the Sherpa T 191 that is intact with a fresh motor and just needs extensive cleaning up. I also have a Sherpa T 199 Miller's Section One Products special that is about 85% completed. The 19…

Hi there, I am new to the forum (but not trials), based in the midlands (Tamworth), and was looking for recommendations as to where best to buy Trials boots - I see many on the internet (such as Appleyards) but need to find somewhere to go and try a few on. I don't know any local trials (bikes or clothing) dealers - any suggestions in the midlands area please ? Cheers

Hi I'm an ex Midland Centre rider from the 60's and 70's disappearing to Australia in 1980. Still riding in trials although I've slowed down a bit after a hip replacement a few weeks ago. I heard a name mentioned the other day on this website (I think) and would love to hear from him and a few others who were around in those days. As the Galpin brothers, Mike and Roger we used to ride BSA's with the Slinn brothers and the Winwood brothers and it was Pat Slinn who was mentined. My dad, Eric, used to know Reg Slinn and whatever happened to Alan Wright, Scott Ellis, Mick Bowers, Dick Hearn, Pat Brittain and a host of other top Midland centre riders. Chris Leighfield is o…

Hi - we posted last week just before we picked up Pat's new toy on the Beta forum.....well we got it, so now we can relax and do 'proper intro'.....Hello we are Pat & Crystal.........Pat rides and Crystal types!! Pat got a 1998 Techno 250 for his first Trials Motorcycle (5th Motorcycle in all) (I think Motorcycles are to Men what Shoes are to Women - it seems you Never Have Enough) Anyway, for starters, we would appreciate any tips, links 4 beginners, etc. and especially a recommendation for a US based Magazine that would have the most focus on this sport. Thanks in Advance....also Thanks to the friendly responses we had last week......kinda refreshing how 'friendl…

Hi every body, I am french arrived in the UK last January. I move my Montesa 315 last September and I am now looking for new trialist friend nearby Hale in south Manchester. I have two children, my son is 6 and a half, my daughter 9 and they would be keen to try trial. It is not easy to go alone in a competition when you didn' t ride the last 9 months... If any body around here is trialist we can chat and why not go a ride .
