Hello & Cheers ! Just a quick hello. I'm new to this site. I've been riding dirt bikes for decades and trials for about 6 years. Trials is definitely my favorite with the note that I don't ride like "real" trials riders. I basically ride the nasty stuff but always keeping moving. I live in Las Vegas, NV, USA and the riding here is nothing like you might think. It's extremely varied and nearly endless miles upon miles of riding areas. I had an '01 GasGas TXT280 and it was a good bike. I now have a '05 Sherco 2.9 which I like more than the GasGas. tuts

Hi I have just joined and have just purchased a Triumph Tiger Cub with a 250cc Triumph Tigress / BSA Sunbeam engine installed. It's apparently been tuned and had also taken part in some trials in the past and was ridden by Pixie Briggs. So I can decide it's fate (restore as a trials machine or convert into a road cub) I would very much like to find out what it looked like at the time. I will upload some photos to the garage on how it looks today. This is my first trials machine. My other machines are road going Tiger Cubs and the BSA / Triumph Scooters - 175cc and 250cc.

Hi Folks, I spent a bit of time in the mid 90's going to trials with a few mates, did a bit of observing, took a few photos and had the odd ride at practice days. I'm back, I took some pics at my first trial for years on Sunday but sadly I can't post a link to my Facebook page on here to share them. I'm hoping to get a bike in the next couple of months, and hope to be out on some easy courses buy the back end of next year. Keith aka Big Kat

Hey one and all, Just wanted to say hi to you guys, I've just bought an olden but golden 1983 Honda TLR200D, the old girl has just arrived today and she's in need of some care but bless her she runs and is still full of life. Been a good few years since I've rode trials, I dabbled a bit back in the UK many years ago and loved the trials scene, not just the riding but everything that goes with it, so time to get back out there. I will post some pics of how she is now and how I get on with restoring and riding her, any advice etc is greatly appreciated. Cheers Dave

Result . Still a few bits I've gotta do to freshen it up but all in all I'm very happy . Can anyone recommend a deent bike mechanic localish to Bedfordshire ? I'm gonna do as much as I can myself but suspension and engine internals I'd rather out source . Well that's where I'm at at the mo guys , if anyone local to beds wants to hook up and ride that would be cool and look forward to hearing from you .

Just bought my first trials bike, a 1990 Fantic 247 (w/ 305 graphics) converted to twin shock. Another forum member (forgot who) did the work a few years back, I just picked it up from my local trials shop. Converted to run a local air cooled / drum / conventional fork / twin shock class. I'm in the central New York area. Having fun putting around my backyard. Going to attend events next season. Let me know if you're in the area!

Been riding trials for 20 years, have had an 85 TY350 for that long, my son is 13 and started him out on a 74 TY80 that we restored when he was 7. Recently he asked if he could ride my 350, I said "Only if you can start it yourself" well today I went out and bought another one since I lost my 85 last weekend. Just picked up this 86 today.

  14. hey everybody. so as the title says I'm a first timer on this website although i have used it in the past but I've needed to register so i can get some information from any one of your brilliant minds. so i have a gas gas txt pro raga replica 2009 300cc and i like it but... i snapped the spur gear on the kick start shaft and now i cannot for the life of me remember which way it went back in. I've looked on google and had a few threads showing how to index it properly but the only one that seems to be the better one is this so when the gear slides up the shaft it will engage more so at the top whereas before it was almost half way round. is this the right way to do …

Back after a 5 year break. Had to sell my monty to fund a new van after my old one died in the snow. Got a bit sidetracked racing kite buggies down the beach for a.few years. Moved back to the UK after 8 long years on Jersey and finally bought another trials bike. Well. Actually bought a push trials bike to get fit and ready then got impatient and picked my sherco up last week. Waiting on helmet boots and club membership then I'm good to roll. Just need to get my old account opened up again now. The system won't send me a password reset. Possibly due to a Hotmail address? Can a mod help?

Hi all, I'm a bit of a fringe dweller of the trials, seem to dip in and out of it as there's no clubs remotely around where I live. If there was, I'd be in the thick of it. Was in Tassie for a little bit and was introduced to trials bikes some years ago, loved it and bought one. I love the old stuff and found myself a Montesa Cota, which is the thing that brings me here, as Ive just pulled it back out and am doing a resto. Good to be here!

Model 10 1067 and 199 1978 owned the M10 for 40 years and the 199 25 years. Used to trial both but then went road racing so neither have been used for a long while apart from use as a paddock bike. Now stopped bouncing and started splatting so pack in the racing a while back. Currently rebuilding the M10 engine then get it all back together as I fancy a bit of trials again. 199 will need doing as well. May have some stupid questions to ask during the process of these two rebuilds so be prepared. Cheers all Gary
