Hi All , Been racing Enduro & trail riding last 7 years & always wanted to give trials a shot to help with the Enduro riding & fitness . Looked around for a while for primarily a beta 250 after having rode a couple of older models & really liking it . I actually ended up buying a well sorted very clean sherco 250 2t road reg'd 2012 for just over 2k . Unbelievable how much compression the thing has got & how easy it will get up & over most things it comes up against . Would ideally love to have a go at some easy trials comps to see what it's all about , just practicing on private land at the moment & totally hooked

Hi I am joining up after buying a 2001 Beta 250 last week. I am busy reading the Beta thread, but might ask some questions as I get stuck. I am 20+ hours into my project, with some niggles remaining. Trials is awesome. I ride trails with a WR450, but the trials bug has bitten. I even thought I could ride before.

Hi all, I've been hopping in and out of Trials Central for a while now and thought it was about time I introduced myself, now that I'm "on the pegs" again. The last time I rode a trials bike was about 33 years ago! (Been riding road bikes and the odd trail bike). I've bought myself a trials bike at long last after desiring one for years. I am lucky enough to live in the Scottish Highlands and am surrounded by rocks, trees and hills. As I walk about I can't help thinking..."there's a section", "I could ride that" etc, etc, Now I can...or at least try to! I have a Montesa 4RT. (I yearned for a Montesa Cota as a youth, but couldn't fund one, and am a four stroke …

I did ride in the SSDT in 1976 and got a silver award , one of my friends was Arnie Taylor from Mansfield he came up to Scotland with a couple of nice lads Bill & Douggie, But sad to say I lost contact with them. Hello All, I recently picked up a James Cotswold Scrambler here in Southern California. It was raced in Scrambles here in the late 50's. The bike is complete, except for the clutch and primary side bits. I hope to convert it to trials use and look forward to any insight into these Villiers powered machines. Cheers, Ben

Hi all from sunny South Africa. I've been riding Enduro since 2012, started off on a Honda CRF250X, moved to a Beta 400RR, then a Husaberg TE300 and now a KTM 250 XC-W. I want to improve my skills at the low speed stuff, so I picked up a very nice and well looked after Beta Evo 290 for the job. Hope to learn a fair bit off the forum

Hi guys I just aquired a beta Rev3 2003 model and have never ridden a trials bike in my life....I have ridden road and enduro bikes though and now almost at the ripe old age of 45 I was looking for a slower more technical type of riding. Well trials seemed to be the answer and a friend of a friend had an old bike for sale so I thought I would dive in the deep end. First day out today just a 2 hour play and I fell just the once (hard though and have a nice lump on my right leg) and by the end was taking the bike up trials without thinking about the inclination where I would have been in two minds on the enduro. Overall a great intro to the sport but that lump on my leg …

Bit of back ground first. Had trials bike 20 years ago, mainly trail riding in Yorkshire nothing serious. Been on sports bikes since, but with traffic, road conditions, etc, getting too dangerous. Now living in Norfolk, and found a great place for trials riding 8 miles away(Trials park Corton), so decided to get back into it. Now the problem. Which bike? Don't want to spend a fortune straight off so thinking £1500 or so for bike. For that money seem to be looking at about 2005 ish bike. As no trials shops in Norfolk, Suffolk area realise gonna have to travel, probably back to Yorkshire. Plenty of beta 250 rev 3's about. Various GG 250 txt pro's o…

Well, I've got a bike, a lid, boots and transport. My first ever trial is 3 weeks away close to home at Aughertree (Uldale). Apart from not forgetting the above items and fuel, are there any essentials/ tips that the good people of trials central can offer/ take the p*** as appropriate?

Hi I used to ride/race MX a few years back but haven't been off road for about 3 years. Still been on two wheels, just stuck to the roads. Just bought myself a 2001 TXT 280, never rode a trials bike before but hopefully I will take to it. Based in Chorley, Lancashire, and looking for places to ride if anyone can advise? Cheers Davro337

...and back again. Looking forward to getting stuck in to a few South Midland Centre trials this year. Not been near a trial in that time as work commitments and a few other sports got in the way. I was riding clubman class back then. No idea what the standard is now. Have sections changed much? What are the entry levels like in SMC? Bought a new Montesa 4RT which I have only ridden down to the village shop so far. Went for it as the quality seems so much better than the other bikes out there. And a bit of a Montesa loyalist having had a 172, 311 and three 315's back in the day. So the 4RT is my first proper trials 4 stroke and, apart from a TLR200 and minter …

Been lurking for a while and thought it was time to sign up. Bought a trials bike (2005 GasGas 250) two and a half years ago and enjoyed riding trials ever since; road bike use went from 15000 kilometers per year to 5000... Three weeks ago I traded my second bike (Ossa TR280i) for a new 2015 Ossa TR250i. Will post a pic in the Ossa forum.

Hi - after riding and organising enduro's for more years than I care to admit, I've decided to give the trials game a go. I'm interested in a Scorpa SY250-F but am struggling to find much info and one for sale. If anyone has any advice or info I'd be most grateful. All the best, David
