Ow do the names rich I'm 28 and from wakey, just wanted to say hello to the forum. Been out of the biking scene for a while due to work and family commitments but I've scraped together 2k and I am currently seeking a decent starter bike for a novice rider. My first bike way back when I was 11, was a Yamaha Ty 250 and even though it was far too big and powerful for me I had many years of fun on it . It was also by far the most reliable bike I've ever owned. Since then I've owned a few motocross bikes (all Honda ) all of which were very fun, they also cost me a bob or two in maintanance and repair . So anyway decided to go back to my roots of trials and I'm very excit…

Hi All, New to the site and new to Trials bikes. Absolutely NO experience in foot-ups but I've been off-road biking for more than 30 yrs. Age is catching up and even though I still love blasting through the bush with the youngsters I thought something more sedate (No, not a Harley) might be just as much fun. I live in Tanzania (14yrs now) down in the Southern Highlands, the terrain is very hilly, and even though we are only 8 degrees below the equator it gets pretty chilly here and wet! A mate riding around Dar-es-Salaam found this TY250Z being abused by some local Arab kids, made them an offer then passed it on to me. She runs, or ran, until yesterday when she…

Greetings everyone. I'm based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I've been riding road bikes for the last 20 years but have only recently gotten interested in trials. Bought an Oset 12.5 for my 4yr old son to get him started. This was soon followed by an Oset 20 for myself, which the wife then appropriated The back yard has been landscaped into a little trials track and we are now riding as a family every other evening. Suffice to say the bug has bitten

Hello, Just got Bultaco M27 I've known for 37 years. Frame No. B 4901437 - can't find engine No. It was put in an open front shed in 1980 after bad starting from hot discouraged the owner. Taken me since then to persuade him to part with it! Its all there except the front exhaust and clamp. The aim is to restore to "oily rag plus" as it only did 117 miles since previous rebuild to road use. One question: do I need to approach a club to help with retreiving original plate WPC 991F and if so who? Best regards to all Uberskunk

Hello everyone, I've been racing motocross and harescrambles for years, but just recently purchased a 2002 Scorpa SY250 that I've been having a blast making a fool out of myself on haha. Being new to the sport I'm trying to find some people from my area (north central Pennsylvania) to ride with. The wife and I also just purchased 55 acres of land and there is a pretty nice collection of large rocks in one area that i hope to develop into a trials playground next year, so i definitely want to find some more people to ride with. If your from the area and would like to ride, hit me up.

Hi, I am getting back into trials after a long time away, looking forward to it. Not bought a bike yet but thinking about the New Montesa 260 4RT looks nice although a little heavier than other bikes, anyone got one yet? I live in Castleford can anyone recommend a decent place to practice, I know there is Bumpy which I will probably join, and I now there is a good place over at Scarborough if you join the Scarborough club, but is there any where else? Where is best place to buy a Montesa from New? is it possible to test drive or to they have any demo days coming up? look forward to your replys Cheers Mark

Hello, I will be eventually posting on the specific Bultaco Forums but by way of introduction myself and my brothers were into scrambling and motorcross in our youth. However our father was into trials. He had and still has a Bultaco Sherpa T which with a bit of digging we have found that it is a Sammy Miller slimline Sherpa 250 t, chassis number SM408 The bike is in bits, I have attached a few pictures. The engine is in another cardboard box in the shed. The plan is for my brothers and I to get the bike back to up and running to give to him for his 80th, a year from now. I would like to use this forum and all your in-depth knowledge to it as close the original as pos…

Just 44 years after I last rode a trials bike, I'm thinking of having another go. Well, I'm more than thinking about it really, but SWMBO has declared "You've got to sell the boat first", which seems reasonable. Anyone want to buy a boat? My last bike was a 1966 4-speed Bultaco so for nostalgia reasons I'd like to get a Bultaco again. However I don't want something that won't be reasonably competitive, so I suspect I'll be more likely be looking for a Fantic or Yamaha TY (for Twinshock, obviously). No doubt I'll be dropping into the forum frequently, asking a zillion naive questions about bikes, clothing, trailers, techniques, clubs, practice grounds and who knows…

Been teaching my son to ride, starting on an OSET Spyder 16, and then a TXT 50 Boy, and now a TXT 80 Cadet. I used to following him in the hills here in Summerland, B.C., Canada on my GG EC300. I now have a 2008 TXT 300 Pro for my aging and "bigger" body. It's been a blast learning the basics; slower is more fun. Keen on linking up with others here in the sunny Okanagan. Cheers. Dale.

Just bought a Beta Evo 250 factory, looking forward to getting out again. Any new places to practice in North Yorkshire? (Nr Harrogate) used to go to Swaine woods a lot, is it still OK to go if I join Horsforth club?

Recently acquired a 1973 OSSA MAR from the original owner. Rough but mostly there. Not running and needs some attention. The MAR was not a planned machine to own, was looking more at a modern trials bike but this was offered to me knowing it was going to a good home. Time will tell if it is viable to fix up or is cost prohibitive. Always wanted a trials bike, hope to attend some of the Florida events, even if as a spectator.
