Hi. Im working on a franciss barnett for a customer of mine and I cant seem to correctly identify the bike correctly. I have already completed some work on the engine to getting running. My problem is that i need to replace the fork seals but im unsure the type of seals I need to buy. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Hello! I need some help with my 85 Yamaha TY350. Fork tubes are rusted and originals in USA are next to impossible to find. Are there other forks tubes that can be used instead of the originals? From any other bike, maybe other model/brand that fits?

Hey guys. I´m a 16 year old beginner trials rider from Hof in Germany. I´ve been riding for a for a few months now but only on the property and bike of Msc Stiftland Mitterteich. I don´t have a bike yet but i´m trying to get a 125 scorpa tysf as the snow finally melts (oh good (c)old Germany). Well, that´s it from me and i´m looking forward to the next season of riding when I´ll post some pictures, stories. Maybe also some stupid questions that will make the more experienced riders on this forum slam their heads against a wall several times. That´s it so far and hello to all the forum users.

Title says it all really! Girlfriend and family are heavily into bikes and I got 'donated' a Montesa 348 yesterday so decided to sign up to the club! Im a car technician by trade but have very little clue when it comes to bikes but always wanted to learn so what better way to start! Any local riders to the New Forest? Cheers, Adam.

Hi My 14 year old daughter has taken up trials, just bought her a 2008 Beta 125 to learn on, being picked up this week. I think it is fairly tired but the price is right and I don't mind getting the spanners out. If she takes to it then I don't mind getting a better one but if she does not take to it then at least I have not dropped a packet. I might have a go on it as well :-) Any tips for giving an older Beta a once over? Oils to use bearings to change etc.? Club wise based in NI and the local scene seems pretty good. Hi everyone, I am a lifelong biker but recent newcomer to trials riding. I haven't done a event yet but been out and watched the local club in action and found a nice crowd.Still practicing at home and starting to get to grips with the techniques especially balance .Hope I am not too late in life to start this hobby in my late 50s. I have been browsing the forum here at TC and found it very useful.Oh yes , I have a 2005 Sherco 250.

Hi all. New to trials and there seems a lot to learn and there is a tonne of info on here that may take a while to chug through.... Strangest thing I have learned so far is that parts are easier to find for an old Fantic than for a 2000 Beta 250 Evo3, especially rear mud guards!! Anyway I am torn between three starter bikes. Honda TL125, Fantic 200 and a Yamaha TY250 - all vgc. Anyone have any views, hoping to view the Fantic at the weekend. Looking just to play about at the moment to see if I really like it and also to ride with my son on his Oset. Thanks all!

Hello. I have a 1992 Beta which has been shedbound for a few years prior to me buying it last year as a project. In typical fashion it has remained in the shed un-finished and I'm looking to get some pointers or help towards where and what I should start on. Since I have had it, the engine has started once and sounded ok. I believe the reason it was damned to the shed in the first place was down to clutch problems. A bit of tinkering with a friend showed there was transmission fluid in the water (or vice versa). I searched a bit but I couldn't find how to begin dismantling let alone what piece to buy. Have enjoyed green laning in Cornwall for the past years until put the 81' Montesa 248 Cota in a river. Frame broken !!!!!!!!!. Now have a Montesa Honda Frame to replace the damaged article. Frame Number MH349 -00634. Has anybody got any info on to its production date. Have exhausted my brain cells going down the Jim Sandiford, Honda uk route to no avail. If you have a frame number near mine your date of production/registration would help me to get a Reconstructed Registration number.

Hi everyone, just bought my first trials bike, 2009 beta evo 290. Have only ridden it once but had great fun! I have the beta clutch drag issue which when I googled it brought me here. I used to do motocross, now my main activity is trackdays on my sports bike but got the trials for some local cheap fun.

Hi Guys, I have just started riding again after over 20 years. I have introduced my brother-in-law to the sport have just given him my brother's 2000 Montesa 315R after my brother died of cancer last year. We got the bike going (after a few drama's) and 2nd time out the swing arm has sheered where it joins the main part of the frame. Can anyone advise where to locate a swingarm?? Many thanks TIm

Hi all, been lurking for a while; but decided to become a little more active. Returned to trials about 8 months ago after break of about 17 years! Currently riding Sportsman/Clubman levels in the South West Centre. The current stead is a 2016 Beta Evo Factory 300, however looking at Vertigos as we speak! Well I've just started my learning curve of trial's riding and now I'd like to ask a few questions.Picked up a 1986 ty 350 with a 250 top end over a year ago, after a carb clean and a trans flush I was able to ride it for 6-8 riding hrs. However first start up's are getting harder and harder [ to let you know I'm a tech at a yamaha shop 20 years] so I'm sure she's a little tired and I'd like to freshen her up.Is there any one stop shopping for parts or do I need to search here & there on the web?

Hello, Great forum! I recently bought my 9 year old an 80cc Beta (circa 2005). He has taken to it pretty well just riding around the farm - plenty of concentration and ear to ear grins. Inevitably it has run well for a while and we now have our first problem - clutch not disengaging, so when it drops into gear it stalls. If there is a guide for the technically inept on how to resolve it please let me know. Many thanks.

Hi, I am new to the sport this website and motorcycles in general. I participated in my first trials event this last October and decided to jump in with both feet. I am currently restoring and modifying a TY175 for the coming year and have a second restoration waiting in the wings. I have learned a lot already from this site and it has helped shape my project. I've been riding bikes for 40 yrs now so I thought it was about time to have a go at getting muddy. I picked up an old Fantic the wednesday before Christmas and entered my first trial on the 27th. Possibly a little under prepared, I managed two laps of 10 sections before retiring, exhausted, with a fairly respectable cricket score! Getting the bike up to speed will be a lot easier than doing the same with the rider, but Hey, someones got to be last.

Hello from Belfast, I'm completely new to off road bikes and hope will get a lot of advice regarding riding trial bikes. I do have road bikes experience but trial going to be some new adventure to me and hope will like a lot. I've just bought beta rev3 270cc for buttons and was doing all mechanical repairs before will start doing practice this Saturday or Sunday.
