...after riding Bultaco bikes the last 30 years I finally found this forum. My garage is full of bikes and projects and I try to keep em all running...Thanks to the community for reading nice tips and tricks. May be i can share some individual tips as well...My bikes are: 175 Bultaco Lobito 1974,Bultaco 199A, Bultaco 183 (76?-new project), Bultaco 213 Alpina, Montesa 348 (not running at the moment), BSA M20 43 model, BSA B32 Scrambler 58, Triumph t120 OIF (not running at the moment, conrod disaster)...and some more undefined projects...wanted to sell the Bultaco 183 , but endet up in a nice new project... Ok but not only repairs...all the bikes are used all over the …

Hello all, i am not new to off road bikes but at the age of 56 i would like to buy a trials bike to hone my skills and possibly "wobble" around a local trial as i get competant. Any suggestions of a cheap £1000-£1500 as a starter bike. Thanks in advance. Steve.

Hi everyone Looking for some advice looking to get into trials riding as a complete novice at it. Have been road riding for a few years though. Have decided that I'd like to get a 250 having had a brief go on one. I have a budget of around £1500 for the bike itself. Is there any bikes in particular to look out for/any to avoid? Anything to look out for when buying one? Would be willing to go up in price if needed but hoping not to. Is there a big difference between the older bikes and newer? Also any other tips that may come in handy to a newbie with gear to get or anything else would be great Thanks

Hi there everyone I'm lewis 24 from bristol I'm looking into getting my first trials bike. I have absolutely no experience what so ever so should be good fun learning, I'm hoping to build my kit up slowly so far I've got my bike rack ready for my tow bar I'm also looking at a jitsie radical helmet for £40 on eBay and also a xc- ting suit for £50 anybody own any of these are they any good? I'm hoping someone local can recommend some practice areas I can learn (embarrass myself) and maybe teach me the basics to get me started. Also will be on the look out for a cheap starter bike in a month or two hopfully if anyone is thinking of selling soon.

Hello, I’ve just bought a TRS having not done any trials for 7 years, previously having had a Beta a gas gas and then a montesa. I’m well over 50 now and I was never that great but have the luxury of living on a farm where I can practise alongside my son in law. I’ve been biking for years on various road bikes, trackday bikes, Enduro bikes and still have a 1098s for the summer. Love MotoGP and ride to Le Mans and Silverstone every year. Looking forward to good trials advise and banter. Cheers

Hi, new to the forum. I did one or two novice trials on a Gas Gas JTX270 back in the 90's after packing in motocross and loved it - but commitments got in the way so never did any more and sold the bike. Wind forward 20 years and I now have the time and would love to get back into it but would consider myself a novice again. I went to a local trial last week for a look and things don't seem to be that much different (bikes aside) spoke to a few people and got some good, if not conflicting advice. In the throws of acquiring a bike, most likely will be a used or new Beta (the dealer and distributor is just down the road and i currently drive a Beta Enduro machine). Hello! My name is Scott and I am excited to be part of this group. I picked up my first trials bike this morning- a 2011 Beta Evo 300 4t. I bought it from a guy in the local trials club and it seems to be very well cared for. Can’t wait to see what this thing can really do! i have about 10ish years experience riding dirt bikes when I was younger, but I haven’t really been on one in 10-15 years. I have a 3 year old son who now owns his first bike- a little Honda CRF50. I figured a trials bike for me would be perfect so I can cruise around with him and not leave him in the dust. Hi all, I live in sunny SW France and at the age of 57 have just bought my first trials bike which is a 1997 Beta 270 Techno....Well at least I think it is!! I bought it from a mate without any documentation or manual.....I was wondering whether anybody knows where I can get a manual? I have found a parts diagram on the Beta USA site but no manual as yet....The model is a Techno according to the USA site. Also if anyone knows any websites for spare parts, that would be appreciated. There seem to be lots of parts for later models but I cannot find much for older models. The older bikes seem to have a lack of available parts .and the newer bikes are out of my budget. So im struggling a bit. Hey guys Just purchased "like new" Montesa COTA 4RT which is my first trials bike. I've been riding / racing since 1971 so been at it a while. Started out trail riding, did some enduros and became decent amateur motocross racer, then had a pretty good club level road racing career (ten years and several expert class championships) then went Formula car racing in SCCA and did okay but much better or may say more comfortable on a bike. Hello All, Just started the sport! Went to an experience day (tricks in the sticks) and really enjoyed it. Such a nice contrast compared to trackdays. Just bought a Beta Rev 3 270cc (arrived last Friday) and a towbar carrier, and now ready to get started.
