A new member to T C. I had a Yamaha Pinky some 20 years ago, but sadly it was taken from me by some low life scum, and that pretty much put and end to my Trials beginning..............before it got started!!! I was talked into spending a day at Inch Perfect last Friday (17th March) and the weather was truly horrendous, but despite this and having not sat on a bike for 20 years, i actally had a pretty good day..... Yes, granted, the rain and hail were horizontal, the gale force wind was biting cold and there was some localised flooding on the way home, but it has sparked my interest again.. I was entrusted with (what appeared to be) a very recent Montesa Hond…

Hi, I'm returning to the sport after many years (another mid-life crisis, maybe!) and I'm trying to reach some like-minded, as well as like-mounted, folks in central Bulgaria. (Enduro & motocross bikes are the most popular) Hopefully have a social scene, get out in the fantastic countryside here, as well as lay out some sections for some competition... well, at least to test ourselves a bit!

Hello fellow forum goers. Been looking and learning here for some time and what a great site it is, so thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge and experience. I am new to trials and have yet to ride in one, but the time is drawing near as the TY250A that's been languishing in the shed is nearly ready for action. It's a roughy but will be a work in (modification) progress. Sorry I don't have a photo on my computer to post right now. It is good to be part of the trials central community at last.

Hello, Just joined today. I rode trials in the Surrey area in the late 60's and early 70's. Loved it with a passion. First bike was a 1966 4 speed Bultaco Sherpa. Then a 250 Ossa. Then sold the Ossa and got married. 10 years ago I bought a 1972 350 Sherpa T engine mounted in a 1970 250 Sherpa T frame (only found this out today after researching this forum). I am shortly going to get the restoration started and will post up when it is done which could take a year or two. I just wanted to say how pleased I have been to have stumbled on to this site which seems perfect for my needs.

I'm Franck. I run a little workshop in Lyon France specialized in vintage european and British bikes. I bought a 52 G80 to replace my 57 G80 with a 16M engine, as my daily ride. The 52 's on the road now and I'm willing to finish turning the G80/16M into a trials bike. I got fed up with track racing so now I want to "test" off road motorcycling. I've been fascinated for a little while now by the "old school" trials bikes and races. So here I'm am to enjoy the off road world and get a few tips to turn my bike into a nice, easy to use bike as I'm a beginner in off roading. The bike already has 21" front tire, alloy tank, small seat... …

Hi all. I have been browsing on here for years, and i used to have a login, but it seems it's disappeared because I rarely logged in. Briefly, I have been riding for years (started with a bantam trials in the70s). Trials wise, I have pre 65, twin shock, and air cooled mono bikes. I also have a bunch of road and off road bikes of various ages and makes, not that it's relevant on here. Having bought a couple more bikes at Telford last weekend I have a bunch of questions and needed to login again Cheers, John.

Always fancied trials riding as far back as kickstart with Peter Purvis but never actually tried it. At 54 (now 57) I might be starting late but if I don't do anything too crazy I should be okay. Question is where do I ride in or near Birmingham and is there a local club? UPDATE: ive bought a Beta 250 (see pic)

Hello all I have just joined I have just acquired an Ariel 350 single 1939-45 prefix number RBH which I believe was a Royal Air Force dispatch - Engine crank gearbox needs attention but unfortunately frame and rest has rusted beyond any amount of TLC - I am presently considering a trials rebuild and looking at using the 350 crank with a 500 barrel - I came across a post on here by a guy called Magnon back in 2009 which read -(see below) - So what interests me is - does anyone know who he was referring to regarding the ally barrel maker he knew off that will suit the std conrod (85mm stroke) and Yamaha xt350 piston (86mm). THANKS Davedent Hi Bob, h…

Hi there. Sooo, I have been road riding for a few years, but now I am keen to get into some trials riding. And could do with a bit advice on getting started I was thinking about getting a 125 to learn on, would that be powerful enough for a tall adult? Also, can anyone recommend somewhere in the North East where I could practise? (I am based near Newcastle but I dont mind travelling to find a good location) And maybe some training might be a good idea... Cheers! Chris
