  1. Growing up with dirtbikes in Northern British Columbia, most of our riding was gravel road and trail riding... it didn't occur to us to go slow, and master technical riding. I am marshaling for a local Trials club and just acquired a used Sherco 250ST... I love it so far and I'm looking for technical trials training regimes... if anyone can point me to good sources? Thanks, Jim

Hi All Last rode trials 25+ years ago and have since kept eye in with a bit of trail riding. However am losing interest in trail riding as lanes disappearing fast and so fancied a return to trials. Have purchased a TY with a view to going twinshock and this forum has come up on a few Googlings so thought I'd sign up.

Hi all, new member to the forum. Been riding bikes for 30 plus years but only just getting into trials! Just bought myself a Sherco 200, helmet, boots gloves etc, and looking forward to doing my first 'beginners' trial at the end of March. Looking for any tips, locations in the north west where I can have a practice etc, and thanks in advice for any information received. thanks all, Husie

Hi Folks, I am lucky enough to have 9 acre wood and river area to mess about in but to be social I don't want to upset the neighbours so am looking for a "quiet" choice of bike. 2stroke or 4? 125 or 250? Any suggestions? I am new to this cracking sport though I have done a bit of off roading centuries ago! and have been on and off road bikes for 30 years or so.Thanks.

Hi peeps Took my road bikes off the road for winter I was getting itchy feet to get back on again. I decided to sell one of the projects I had going to buy something "off-roady" which meant the crap weather and winter wouldn't stop me getting out. A couple of my mates have got trials bikes and i've always thought it looked like ace fun. Plus there is a club in Aberdeen which seems to put on loads of trials events so I figured trials would be a good shout. Looked for a while to find a bike but i'm a bit stingy and didnt want to spend heaps of money. Then my Gas Gas TXT 250 pro came up for sale for £800. Its a road legal job but all the lights are off. Needed fork…

Hello from sunny Morar in the west of Scotland. I'm itching to get back into the trials and it seems like this is the place to be for all those technical questions. I've found lots of info on here already and it's great that so many people are happy to share their knowledge and experience. Recently I acquired a Beta TR34 Stripey and am in the process of getting her rideable. Hopefully I won't offend too many purists but I've fitted her with a set of Rev 3 yokes with gold Techno forks. The old forks have seen better days and the bits were there. I'm also thinking about putting the Techno swingarm on but there's a bit more fiddling to get the rear wheel fitting right. It's …

Hello. I am a new trails rider in South China. I picked up a 2015 Beta Evo 300 factory mid way through last year and slowly trying to pick up some trials skills. It would be great to be able to ride with other trials riders but it seems that I am on my own here. There are quite a few riders in Hong Kong, less than 100 kms away but imposible to take my bike there to ride with them. Anyway I have been trying to lean balance, slow riding skills, small wheelies, stopies, etc. I never thought that trails riding was so complex and so physical. Symon

Hello, really interested in buying a trials bike, I've had crossers and an enduro before when younger but now I'm 28 and haven't ridden anything in maybe 10 years. My main question is am I being unrealistic trying to get into trials biking? I'm asking this because of my age and having no experience but also because I'm not a light skinny lad anymore I'm 16 stone of pure dad body Haha! Will this hinder me or am I better off just going back to a motocross bike instead.

Hi, surprised my account was still active its been a while ? I decided after 12 years away from trials it was time to get back on a bike. My last trial was in 2006 and sold my Beta back in 2007 due to divorce and a massive change in my life, needed to free up cash. Im in Lincolnshire and used to be in the RAFMSA, now a civvy so joining the North Lincs Club at their next trial which Im planning to ride. With help from my dad we managed to get a 2006 Rev3 270 and still had my riding gear other than boots and helmet, sorted those now..cant wait to ride again ?

Hello All, One of the old timers returning to the sport. Started trials riding in the early 60's on a C15T. Now have a Cub Trials and do the odd 'easy trial' Enjoy riding long distance on/off road trials. Do quite a few events as an observer and thoroughly enjoy it. Not too keen on this "trick riding" where you stop in the section and get set for the next part.Apreciate the skill but prefer the non-stop trials. Nice to see how the riders say thanks for observing... See you all soon, specially at Mac. Trials... Griff

Name is Dean, been on here a short time and realized I hadn't introduced myself.....about time. I'am a fitter/turner/machinist by trade, retired from marine engineering after 36yrs and I retired early......best thing I did after such a long time. Have always had an interest in cars and motorbikes, did trials for some time back in the early 80's then moved to trail riding then motorcross,MX took its toll on me and I was forced to retire due to a shoulder injury caused by another rider ,moved to 125cc sprint karts before doing OE in Australia for 5 years. Marriage and kids put paid to bikes/karting,but continued my interest of sailing doing time on keelers,18ft …
