Ay up. So after never ridden a motorbike off road. I have decided trialing a twin shock may be fun. So I collected a very special Yamaha TY175 Whitehawk last Thursday from South Wales. Im off to watch my first trial with the Midlands Classic MCC on new years day. Be prepared for my stupid questions. Wish me luck.

Hi everyone, I'm currently attempting to restore a Sprite/ American eagle 405 talon. I believe it shares many of the parts with a Sprite trials. I'm also hoping to get a trials project at some point throughout 2019, I quite like the idea of a Dalesman scout but I'll keep my options open for now. Many thanks

Hello, Saying hello, introducing myself and sharing my experience. Hopefully useful. Spent a lot of time on this site trying to distill ideas and advice. What bike etc. I have come back to riding after 15 years, I so very nearly did not come back......in fact last winter I sold my Dave Cooper bike rack and have just had to buy a new one! Loving it!! First time around in the late 90/early this century......... Working, family, mortgage. queuing for sections, looking after my son occasionally, no time or places to practice. Then both bikes were stolen. Not too much fun to be honest. probably rode less than once a month for three years or…

Howdy y'all, I just picked up my second trials bike a few weeks ago - a 2010 GasGas txt300 Raga. It's been a good little scooter and I've gone to a couple trials events already. I've been riding off-road most of my life, so this is a good learning experience! My previous trials bike was a '03 Scorpa SY250 and I just picked up a '01 GasGas txt80. So, I've come here for some help rebuilding various things on these bikes!

Hi all, Ive just stumbled upon your site. I am looking at giving trials a go, I live in Glossop Derbyshire and I currently do quite a bit of green laning. I have a budget of approximately £1500 to purchase a bike to start on, whilst I have been riding over 25 years I have only ridden a trials bike on a couple of occasions. Any advice appreciated, I'm looking for a club etc in my area, if anyone has a bike for starting off on around my budget give me a shout also. Thanks in advance Jay Shep

Hi,i am new to this forum and probably too old to trial now.The thing is,i bought an Ossa in 1975 from a bloke that claimed it was Mick Andrews 1972 ssdt winning bike.Anyway,i rode in a few trials in 75 &76 and was absolutely bloody useless. In fact i won a prize in a Boxing day trial, for coming last.Anyroad up,i broke the sodding front wheel ,hitting a large tree head on.After that i was a bit disenchanted with trialing and couldn't aford to fix it so i slung it in the back of the garage, where it has been until now.I have just finished restoring an old s.v.BSA.and have now decided to restore the Ossa.I have the original old type log book for it ,which says "imported …

Hi, my names Tom, I’m from the midlands in the UK. I used to ride at Earl Shilton ESTC in Leicester. I started riding on a JCM (which is a French brand I believe, then stepped up to a Fantic and finally a Montesa Cota 315R (99). My reason for coming back to the game is a funny one...I keep having dreams that I ride again. I’m taking that as my mind telling me to get on with it! I also watched Ross Noble do the 6 day Scottish Trial and thought I’ll give it another go. Thank for having me! Tom

G'day! Moved from Cheshire to Australia back in '99. I've been an avid motorsports fan since the olden days. My first ever event was the 'Gold Cup' at Oulton Park, back in 1971. Since then, I have been involved in all sorts of competition as a spectator, marshal, competitor (four wheels), journalist and photographer. I am also a bike nut, albeit road bikes only and recently had to give 'em up due to arthritis. Ain't growing old grand? I maintain some involvement as a photographer, most recently of motorcycle trials, a sport I had never watched till last year. I was immediately hooked. The thing I like most about trials, as a photographer, is the people involved. What…

Hi guys , I've been riding a gasgas250 pro since May using Plutoline 2 stroke as per the previous owner. Have read a few forums I have decided to change to Ipone. Not sure whether I should drain the tank /clean out the carb before changing or just mix it up and pour in the tank. The bike has been running ok but seems to struggle a little at tick over. I have been mixing 80ml/5litres. Any advice welcome.. Thanks in advance

I have been on here reading some of the Topics regarding trials bikes and the comparisons . I have been riding trials for a long time but just the last few years I have been more more active with it . I am interested in getting a new 125 and the Scorpa really interest me . So the comparison between that and the Sherco was really good . I have crossed off the GasGas since i have had lots of them and am tired of the way some of them start . Or should I say do not start in a kick or 2 but maybe 6 or 7 ? I realize that in Europe there are a lot of 125s and would love to see another comparison including the Beta and TRS 125 bikes . How maney 125 bikes compete at a local event…

Hello all, Just a note to say Hi I've been involved with Land Rover trials in the West Country for many years (25+). We share some of our sites with bike trials clubs. I've finally taken the decision to jump over the fence, get a trials bike and have a go! For years I've fancied a TY175 but recently I've been researching Fantic 200s and now I'm torn between the two! I could do with something road registered because we have a lot of opportunities locally. I'm also trying to find a good club local to us (Wiltshire) who would run Twinshock events...... Any info would be appreciated, Thanks.
