Hi to all. I have an admission to make I don't own a trials bike ? I have been riding for nearly 42 years cycling, road bikes, MX,and enduro I have only ridden a trials bike once. It was a friends Fantic 125 twin shock, it put me on my backside very quickly as I remember. It was along time ago and for some reason it's started to burn me that I have missed out on a great part of motorcyling. One of my enduro riding buddies has just bought a very nice TRS and is loving it. So the plan is to learn a bit about the sport and get myself a trials bike before I am to worn out to enjoy it ? Hi guys I’ve more or less recovered from a life threatening road accident some ignorant git ran straight into me while I was on my beloved ktm 250 exc , I’ve had 2 stroke ktm and 6 days 4 stroke , raced in cotswold enduro slow pete series also hours and hours of green laning, been a off reader for 8 years, It’s took me 3 years to recover and I have a metal left leg from knee upwards and a titanium shoulder with 50% movement of left arm , so wife said no more bikes or divorce , but surprisingly she is ok with a trails bike as I’ll ever ride on the road again , I am 53 6 foot tall and since accident now way around 16 stone ( can’t wait to ride again as love it but also to g…

Hi All Not a rider in Trials anymore , only did it for one season which I think was 1956 , not a misprint 1956, but the attraction has never left me , and the sound of a big single is still fantasic to me. I spectate and do a bit of observing now , I admire all the skills shown by young and not so young. The bikes have changed from my day [improved] but happy to report the polite'ness of all concerned is as it was in the 50'5 . Excellent To all the youngsters out there just enjoy your selves , it's a great sport.

Hello all You probably get this a lot so I do apologise in advance but you got to start somewhere right! I'm getting back in to trials after about 15 years out just fed up of road riding really, this seems like a very knowledge forum and I'm just after a little advice if you don't mind. So to get me going I've got myself a Beta Evo 290 2008 well that's what it states on the paper work that has come with it, but the Manual that has also come with it is a 2009 model now after having a look around I can't seem to find a 2008 manual so just wondered if anyone could point me in the direction to confirm the age? from what I can see 2008 is the Rev model I think. I've been fortunate to have fulfilled a long time goal having recently picked-up a really nice twin-shock TY250. I grew up in England in the early 80's with with friends who had a TY80 and TY175. They were beautful bikes and I tried everything to convince my folks to buy one! Instead, I got to ride my Dad's Honda PC50 moped - not quite as cool - but still much better than walking. Well now I'm in the club and I'm really pleased with my new ride. It's not perfect (what is after 40 years) and it's running a bit rough - so my next post will be in the Yamaha section! Hi Ive been dabbing in trials for over 40 years now and still love rideing trials bikes in the dirt. Apart from the fact that trials riders are the most genuine of people to hang out with its great to be on this forum as there is very helpful posts and advice here too. Hi, me and my old mate kev have been riding on and off road for years (We are now both 56) and have bought an outfit. We entered a trial earlier in the year after a few practices and we were rubbish but had a great laugh. Hello from the upper peninsula of michigan.Have been riding offroad since 1975 (1st bike was a ty250 and had no idea it was a trials bike)Have raced mx and a lot of enduros and scrambles with some ice racing and flat track in there.I live to ride for real.I took a trip down to Missouri this spring and picked up my 1st modern trials bike,a 2015 GG 300 pro.With a bike like this the only excuse I have for poor performance is me.I have done 2 meets in wota (Wisconsin observed trials association)in intermediate and found my trials skill lack pretty bad.I managed to finish with 2 men behind me in my 2cd trials meet but have a lot to learn.I figure I will never be more than a in…

Hey all, Greying beard, rode lots of dirt bikes and some motocross over the years, not a pro by any means, just riding for fun. Always wanted to ride trials... Been reading this forum for a while trying to gain some knowledge about purchasing a used trials bike. Being in Canada, trials bikes are few and far between, and I didn't want to spend too much to get into trials at this point. I finally found an older Beta Rev3 250, 2001 for a low enough price, it was probably more used for trail riding before though but seems in reasonable condition otherwise. Hi All, I am new here & quite new to the trials scene so just wanted to say hi, I have just brought a 2004 Sherco 250, it needs a bit of work and some TLC but it was pretty cheap, I think I enjoy working on the bikes as much as I do riding them, which is lucky coz I think I have got a bit of work to do! Hi. It’s been 35 years since I’ve been on a trials bike, but a friend and I recently went to Inch Perfect. That, combined with Ross Nobles SSDT, the interest is back. My buddy has given me a budget of £2k to get him a bike (his pockets are deeper than mine). He wants a 2stroke, as new as possible and preferably road legal. What should I be looking for? lm leaning towards a Beta. But my knowledge is limited as the that bike I had was a Ty250 thanks Glyn

Hello all, thanks for having me, been on 2 wheels most of my life with or with a motor, and since trials is the Pinnacle of motor sports it was long over due that I cut my teeth, So I bought a 01 Montessori 315 2t and there are a few things I could use advise/expertise on, but most of all I need a workshop manual for the bike . Brand new to Trials other than having a ty80 as a schoolboy! Iv picked up a gas gas txt 250 and looking forward to joining a local club, probably earl shilton as it’s the closest to me (Nottingham) Iv not got any gear yet apart from a helmet so boots and bottoms next on my list Cheers Rich
