HI. Live just outside Milton Keynes and joined the local club again after a temporary break of 32 years. Never gave up bikes though, quite the opposite. Went and watched a trial at Great Brickhill a week or so ago and thought it looked a lovely way to spend a day out. Now got myself a Beta Evo 250 2T 2011 which I am currently working through trying to get as good as I can before giving it a go on the local club ground just to get a bit fitter and have fun doing it , as I last did all those years ago. Hi, Andrew here. Just starting out in trials at the tender age of 56, and with a dodgy right arm. I've previously owned a Honda TL125 which i loved, and stupidly sold in a moment of weakness. Recently got a Montesa Cota 172 project bike to get riding again (been off bikes for 5 years due to a bad accident, not bike, or car), and then bought a basket case Mk111 Montesa Cota 243. I'm going to have lots of questions, but foremost is. How much oil goes in a cota 173? Do you have to lift the engine in the frame to undo the plug? And finally, why did Montesa put the plug in such a stupid place? I sort of get why there is no oil level provision, it's a competition bike, but it w…

Morning all Just getting started in trials, having ridden on the road for years and now fancying a new challenge. I've just bought a 2002 Beta Rev 3 250, and spent yesterday morning at Lincolnshire Trials Park having a play around getting acquainted with it. Hi All, Recently acquired a 1974 Ossa MAR, the whole thing is wreck so have stripped it right down. In short I cracked a crank case separating and am now looking to replace the right side case. I bought a nice cheap pioneer case but the only difference seemed to be the size of the crank webs as this chamber is 5mm smaller in diameter than that of the MAR, I have since bought an MAR case 1972 and again 5mm too small. Can Anyone tell me what year/model may correspond with the size difference other than 1974? Engine and frame match. Put me out of my misery please.. Benny

Hello, has anyone heard of a lighter spring that will fit a sachs rear shock on my 2019 Beta Evo 250. Apparently, an Ohlins spring doesn't fit . I'm only 9 1/2 stone and i find the standard one is too firm. Any other setting suggestions are also welcome Thanks

Not a lot of organized trials riding close to home town here in the west coast of Washington state, USA. Nice area though for off road trail riding and a lot of it is fun and technical enough for a trials machine. Several years ago I tried to interest the local riding fellows I ride with into getting trials motorcycles but no one was interested and I got a Sherco X-ride. Later a member of our group got a beat up Yamaha TY250, which lead to a later year Montesa 4RT, and others have bought trials motorcycles and are really into how neat trials riding is. Eyup folks. I'm an ald fuddy duddy who had decided to give Trials a go. I used to compete in Land Rover trials before my move to a wild and wet Scotland. I miss getting mucky so have decided to have a go at motorcycle trials as a hobby Not looking to become top of the class, just to meet a like minded bunch of folks and have a laugh. Hello from Middlesbrough UK, I used to ride trials as a kid, uo until the age of around 17. When I sold my bike to buy a car. after 12 years of onky riding the odd time, and after a pretty stressful house renovation, I’ve finally got my self a bike again. Hi guys and gals have just purchased a gas gas pro 04. 250 and discovered the gas tank is split, probably the reason it ran out of fuel when I test rode it .is this a common problem and are there anymore gremlins that are gonna nite me in a*** thanks kezz

Hello all, my name's Sergio and I'm from the lake region, Northern Italy. Been reading the Trialscentral forum for quite some time now, lots and lots of interesting topics and answer. I started riding in 1988 and after a 20 years break, I started again 6 years ago, I just missed trials too much, it has always been on my mind for all those years where I was busy doing something else. Got a Vertigo Vertical 4 months ago and I compete in the lower class of the Trialario championship which is held in northern Italy. Cheers to all!

I'm a 12 year street bike rider that's just now getting into Trials. Coming from -0- experience in anything remotely resembling dirt or obstacles. To make things even more interesting, my bike is 1998 Gas Gas TX 320..... that I bought as a pile of parts. Story from previous owner was that his friend was a GG dealer and was cleaning up shop and got this TX with a new frame. The problem is *I* am not the one that disassembled it, nor am I familiar with the construction of these bikes even tangentially. However, Previous Owner did give me a binder that has the GG parts catalogs/schematics for the model year. I'm not sure if I have 120% of a bike or 80% of a bike however, as …

Hi all. I’m completely new to trials. Want to get some quality time with my 10year old step son. Bought a beta rev 50 for him and a Sherco 290 for me. Any body know of any good riding places for beginners around Moreton-in-Marsh area or have any advice on getting started with trials? Hello All, I'm another one that's been away from trials for 20 years. Started on the good old TY80 then through TY125, Fantic 200 and Beamish 325. Now got a 1976 TL125 to restore my faith and try and get a bit of confidence back. Have now got 3 boys aged 4, 6 and 9 - all of which have shown an interest, so hoping to pick up some tips on suitable bikes for them and obstacles to build for all of us. Space not a problem. I'm sure the 9 year old and six year old will be better than I ever was given 3 months at it. Hopefully get to know some likeminded souls too. Cheers
