Hi guys, thanks for letting me join. Hello from sunny, locked down Northern Ireland. I'm a motocross guy but have just purchased an Oset for my boy to help keep him occupied during this lockdown when all mx tracks are closed. Looking forward to getting to know my way round this wee bike and may even purchase one myself real soon.

My name is Romain, I live in France, in the area of Grenoble in the Alps. I am 38 and I have been practicing trial motorbike for 19 years, ie half of my life. I started with a 125 Yamaha TY, then I get a SWM 320 TL, a Scorpa easy, a GasGas 280 TXT pro, a GasGas 200 TXT, a Montesa 309 and I will have very soon a Beta Rev3 250. I mainly use my bikes for freeride and I am passionnate by old mechanics, reason why I come here to read topics dealing with motorbike restaurations.

Evening all, bought my bike at the back end of 2019, being a novice I did a practice day at nant ucha and loved it.. Done one competition which was challenging to say the least, then the local club had to cancel the other dates due to the weather and then we had covid.. so with loads of free time on my hands I decided to give it a good strip down and clean.. Also if anyone is good at identifying bikes, I can't remember the year of this ? All the best Jamie

Hello all, I am becoming re-interested in trials after a long hiatus. My grandson is turning three and is interested in motorcycles and my daughter has fond memories, so is open to the idea of an Oset 12.5. I figured I might pick up a used whatever to plonk on and help him learn (in the day, I was never great, but did ride advanced respectably). Anyways, thanks for still being here as a resource! Ward

My google searches for information kept pointing me here, so I thought I'd better get involved! I am rebuilding my dad's Bultaco Sherpa which he had planned to do himself, but unfortunately he died unexpectedly a few months ago. Apart from the Sherpa I have a few Greeves trials bikes (I am on the Greeves Riders Association committee) and also ride a Royal Enfield 350 Bullet on occasions. I hope to find some help here for my Bultaco project, and of course if I can offer any assistance in return then I'd love to.

Hi All New member just signed up. I've been using this site as a guest for long enough so thought I ought to sign up. When I retired a few years ago I decided I was too old for bikes so sold bike and all my odds and ends. Few years on and bored I yielded to ebay temptation and bought myself an absolute wreck of a Bultaco 250, 198A for not much money. Having great fun working on it even if by the time I've finished it wont be a cheap option! Always fancied a trials bike, lean and functional that's how I like them. Now we are all on lockdown my wife is even glad to get rid of me for most of the day in the garage. Biggest issue with the bike is undoing the handiwor…

Hi All, I am coming back to Trials after a few years break (getting through the first years of fatherhood!) I reckon I can make enough excuses now to spend more time in the garage & out on the bike so ready to get the bike out, give it a overhaul and get riding again. Guna need some advice on getting the main bearings done & few other bits. I have a 2004 Sherco 250 & the last time I run it it had a bit on an engine tap, I am assuming crankshaft bearings! Thanks for having me on the forum,

Good morning everyone from Rossendale Lancashire. Decided to sign up to the site rather than just a guest browser, well I will get straight to the point. I would like to have my 1983 coat 349 (y reg) be treated to a full engine overhaul, no major dramas at the moment but I think the mains are just starting to become a touch noisy. Where can I purchase these along with the related seals, gaskets and other bearings etc preferably all from one supplier. Part two now! I would like to invest in a RTL 250 twin disc model, but don't have a great deal of knowledge of them .There's a couple on that other site for £5500 ish ,is that a fair reflection? Any replies much appreciated …

Hi All, I have been an on road motorcyclist for over 50 years, I have recently purchased a early 70`s Penton which I am sorting out after it had been garaged for few years and not used. I live in Clifton Upon Teme WR6 Worcestershire not far from Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb which some folks may know! I was wondering is there a local trials club or anyone out there locally I might be able to make contact with for any advice or information I may need please? I trust there may be! Thanks, Adrian.

My name's Mike, I'm new to trials. I bought my first bike 2 months ago and probably put 30 hours on it so far. Love the bike, looking forward to trials meets when the virus is under control. Unfortunately the bike I bought has a bearing that spun in the rear hub so I'm looking for one of those currently. Going to try some shim stock and sleeve retainer as a last ditch effort. Anyway nice to meet you all!

Hello, Total noobie here thought I'd start with this forum. I live in Orange County, California and looking to give the sport of trials riding a go. I grew up racing motocross in my younger days and have been an avid street rider for the last decade or so. Trials riding has always peaked my interest and decided that 2020 would be the year to give the sport a go. The SoCal Trials Association seems to be a good group and looking forward to riding with the group here shortly. I am 35, 200 pounds and looking at picking up either a Beta 250 or possibly a 2017 Vertigo Combat that recently came up for sale in NorCal. Seems like Beta would be the safest choice in regard…

Hi all. I’ve just got myself a new Montesa 4rt to get back into trials riding on. I’ve been away from the sport and Trials Central for a few years now. I'm an easy course rider and seem to prefer 4 strokes having had a couple of Scorpa 175’s and a Gas Gas Randonne 200. I’ll belong County Durham so there’s plenty of choice for local club trials. Cheers Glenn

Returning to the sport, by restoring, just started, a Cotton 1963 I think, two stoke Villiers, probably going to need some advice, and there is no need to say I wouldn't start with one of them, but I just like em! cheers.

Just introducing myself. Previously from Bristol, UK but now living in Taupo, NZ. Been here for 8 yrs now and ive played about with VMX but now getting back into trials. Since having 2 kids funds are small so instead of a brand new Cota 315 I had in 2003 im currently modifying a 200cc 4t yamaha farm bike. Im sure itll be a bit of fun when its done and maybe ill enjoy it so much I might buy a real bike.
