Hello everyone. I'm 62 and just purchased my first trial's bike. I've been informed that there are three types produced in 1988. Again it's a Beta tr34 260. I found numbers stamped on the left side behind the yoke. Beta B 3 This winter I plan a rebuild. Minor one. She starts cold on second kick. Hot on the first. If I can find parts I believe I need a crank seal ( smoker ) and a top end. However far I get I would like it to be correct. Clear coat or paint? Just to mention one of a hundred questions I have. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Donnie

Hello everyone, my name is Bart and I am from Poland. I've just bought a 1988 Beta TR34 260cc as an early christmas present for myself It needs some basic restoration and maintenance, but nothing that would overwhelm me. I am an amateur enduro enthusiast who wants to improve his riding skills and technique. Hopefully I can later translate those skills to my Yamaha TT600R, or maybe I will totally hook on Trials? Who knows? I also collect and restore vintage Vespa scooters, that is why I wanted a classic 2T Trial bike, not a modern one. Hope to find a lot of information here. Cheers!

Hello, after riding bikes my entire life I decided to give Trials a go. Too much fun!! I bought myself and my wife bikes. I set up a small course around the house, primarily for my wife to practice. We have been to two events now and have had a total blast. Really looking forward to next season!! Anyway, glad I found this forum as neither of us are on Facebook.

Hi, I’m in Canada now and not much of a trials scene where I am. Looking to get a new bike as a retirement gift to myself. Haven’t ridden any sort of bike since I took my bike test in 2000 and haven’t ridden a dirt bike since 83 (battered ty 175). What I mean by riding a dirt bike loosely translates to wobbling around a quarry in Bradford avoiding anything more than a mole hill. anyway I am going to treat myself and was wondering if I could get some input on what would be a good first bike. I’ll be buying new. I’d like a montesa 300 but it might be too much bike! I can source Beta, Gas Gas Montesa TRS Scorpa etc. I also like the thought of 4 stroke from a mainte…

Newbie here, joining up to dive into the SWM forum as I've just bought back a 320TL I had 25 years ago! The bike's a runner but will need a lot of TLC to get it back to what it should be.

Hi One and All, I am a newbie to Trials. However, in my youth I was a motocross and enduro rider.....but that was 40 years ago. Some years ago I bought a Gas Gas 280 TXT 2000 yr model for my youngest son. He developed no interest in Trials. So the bike sat for many years in our summer home in Colorado. We sold that house and brought all our stuff back to Alvin (a community outside of Houston) recently. The bike was calling me and I began getting it ready to ride. As you all know - bikes do not like to sit - the entire front and back brake system had to be redone (thanks to Jim Snell for all of his knowledge and support and parts!!!) . Anyway, at some point …

Hi all, waiting for delivery of my Bultaco Sherpa 198a. Cosmetically challenged but running and road registered. New to trials but have done a session some years ago at Inch Perfect and fancy having a go! Already learned loads from the forum but no doubt will be bugging you all with questions as I’ll probably get carried away and end up restoring (and improving) the bike!
