Hello, Being my 1st post here, I should talk about my trials bike. Unfortunately, I may not have one. At least an original factory built example. I have a 1957 AJS 18CS. It doesn't run yet. I have asked all this over on the AJS site. If the Competition Dept at AJS ever built a 500cc Trials. It seems from factory literature (brochure) they weren't offered. I haven't gotten a definite answer yet. I thought I would ask the question here as this is a Trials dedicated site where the AJS site is not as much about Trials. Hello to u all. With knees that not really like mx and missing some enduro skills started doing trial. We are pretty serious (my girlfriend is also in it) We are from the Netherlands. I hope to try to come as far that is possible for me. We practice once or twice a week and soon I have my first contest. Being stubborn ofcourse not listened that good to other people what bike we should buy. So now whe have a shed full. My girlfriend ended on a 125cc Beta Evo and I ended in a 300cc Vertigo Combat.

Greetings all, I've been lurking and realized I hadn't said hello so here goes. I'm John French and live in NC USA, I've been riding trials since about 1990 (I'm 61) and currently have about 5 or 6 (or 7) trials bikes. My modern bike is a 2016 Montesa 4RT 260 and in order of next oldest they are 1985 RTl250 Honda, 1980 199A Bultaco, 1977 Ty250D Yam, 1975 Tl125 Honda, 1966 Triumph Cub and a '61 G3C Matchless. hi all just bought a 2002 gas gas txt pro so that i could do courses set out for modern bikes and not destroy my old TY mono! I really like the bike but it has several issues! last sunday at rileys railway it blew the thermostat out at the bottom of a 30ft bank, its a pig to get into neutral and a proper git to start!! I think the starting issue might be down to having old fuel and it looks like the pilot jet has sheared off.hopefully a dip in the ultrasound tank and a new pilot might solve this problem. i have tested the fan with a battery and it runs ok, bit concerned that the pressure relief valve in the rad filler cap didn't blow before the thermostat, …

Hello I just bought a 250 Alpina (1974), no fenders, no electricity, few spokes broken but running engine. Of course, I will need some advices and feedbacks from this forum: First subject will be the seals for the crankshaft. Hi all, yes another newly to what appears to be an excellent website and forum to boot. I am taking on a Sherpa T80 as a restore project, it was started before but ended badly by someone not known to me. the frame had been blasted and powder coated, but as I see it, still with the swinging arm in tact! The engine also looks like it’s been got at and so it goes on. So decided it’s a strip to the floor job for peace of mind, who knows what I’m gonna encounter. The thus end, I Wouk do like to think I can count on some sound advice if and when required. FYI I am not a rider anymore, at 74 I enjoy the challenge of taking the bikes apart and restoring them to factory stock. T…

Hello everyone, my 8 yr old son b-day is coming up and I'm having a hell of a time finding an electric Oset/Beta 20. I'd starting looking at KTM's SXE5 but they are 8k with taxes and freight. Cascade in Mission use to have stock, even used one's but they are under ownership change. I've been watching Craigs and Marketplace but nada. Can anyone please recommend where I might look or share a contact if you know anyone that has a Oset, Beta or even a KTM SX E5. Interested in an electric bike so he can get more seat time. Thank you

Hi, A couple of weeks ago I bought a 1979 Bultaco Sherpa 250, really nice bike and restored by its former keeper. I have pretty much zero trialing experience although I have been riding bikes for around 35 years (probably a familiar tale!). Eventually I would like to enter some novice twin shock events if I can get my skill level beyond hopeless and the bike set up right! Anyway, i'm based in Cumbria near to Kirkby Stephen, are there any local clubs anyone can recommend? Cheers.
