  1. Started by Assgas,

Hello Im from Oakley California USA I just started Trials now i have to figure this thing out

  2. Started by Skidmark,

Broke my back pretty badly, sold my GasGas thinking I’d never ride again…well guess what!? I’m back (pun intended). i sucked on my GasGas and I’ll prolly suck worse on my new to me (but exceptionally clean, still has the original tires) ‘13 250 Evo Factory with my new back issues….. I want to focus on my balance and control precision and hopefully get a little stronger in the process. 53 years young….owned a **** ton (almost 75) of different bikes over 43 years of riding and racing, but never good enough to be top at anything. Braaaap from the Big Island ! Skiddy

  5. Started by Marting,

Hi all, a few mates of mine ride trials and have been badgering me to have a go, so I bit the bullet and went along and had a go and loved it! A week later I joined a club, got my acu license and bought a bike! I haven’t spent a fortune just in case I decide I don’t want to do it(can’t see that happening) so I might be asking a few questions as I pick it up if you all don’t mind, I don’t want to be annoying asking stupid questions. I’ll try and put a picture up of my 20 year old beta(be gentle on her) and let you know how my journey goes! cheers, Martin.

  7. Hi all, I'm new to the forum and also new to trials riding. In fact I'm yet to try it, hence why I'm here! I'm based in North Tyneside (near Newcastle upon Tyne) and I'm looking for some advice/guidance on how to get started, local clubs, tuition, bikes, gear etc. Been road riding for about 2 years now but would love to give trials a go. Anyone that could help point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

  11. Started by Xtrem,

Been riding dirtbikes for more than 20 years, considering a used trial bike to improve the technical aspect. 2013 Sherco 3.0 with 40 hours 2015 Beta EVO 300 with around 30 hours Both in excellent condition, same price actually. Which would you choose? In a perfect world I’d pick a 250 but none available where I live.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've been riding on and off road since the 90s and recently went on a trials day and was hooked within minutes. After a bit of research and being a life long honda guy I picked up a used 2007 250 montesa 4rt. I love the bike but I have a question re the number of clutch plates. The manual says 6 friction and 5 steel. When I search online I'm seeing some clutch packs with 7 friction and 6 steel that apparently fits my bike. It needs a new clutch as has been sitting for years, when I stripped the clutch the friction material started to crumble. So is it 6 friction and 5 steel as per the manual or am I missing something. Thanks

Hi, I just picked up a ‘78 348 Cota. It’s a bike I would have loved to own back in the day. Needs a bit of work and a few parts, but runs and shifts well. I will have a lot of questions. The first one being.. is there a Canadian source for parts and bits and pieces? Tim Victoria B.C.

  14. Started by oldtimetrials,

Hello everyone out there in trials world. My name is Robby and I used to do trials back in the late 60s early 70s at my local meetings at Buxton, Matlock and Leak etc. I was never brilliant but loved every Sunday when trialing, I used to ride a mclaren suzuki, I wish I still had it now, I found it very light and easy to ride. I am in the process of restoring a Bultaco 250, it's a bit of a miss match but all there, I would like to thank Pete at in motion trials for all his excellent help and advise on my project, his service and aftersales is second to none.

Old road bike rider here in the north of the UK, wondering whether to try trials riding. I have the chance of twin shock bikes from the ‘70s locally (Northumberland) or more modern kit. advice sought on a) where to go b) whether it’s too late c) older machines or newer and any other help. budget is very low as my road bikes have swallowed all my spare money!

Hi all, I've eventually got around to doing something about getting myself some info on the Classic Trials scene, I live in mid Wales so if anybody can point me in the right direction for local clubs and events that would be great. I have been thinking about getting a bike and riding for some time but not got around to doing it, but 2023 is going to be the year. I ride road bikes and have a collection of 70's and 80's Jap bikes which I have restored, so adding to that and doing any work is the easy bit. Thanks, Phil

  20. Started by spooky,

Hello to you all, I am returning (i hope) to trials riding after a spell of about 40 years since my last competitive trial on a Montesa 200. For some reason i thought it would be a good idea at nearly 70 years old to try again !! One addition to my framework since then is a hip replacement though, I know I have to be careful and voluntary 5`s will sometimes be needed, anyone else riding trials with a hip replaced ? I am hoping to make my comeback with a Fantic 125, there are a couple of evening trials run within 10 miles of me,they always have a novice section, I have dusted off my NCB wellys in readiness..... see you upside down !
