Hi All, Thank you for allowing me to sign up to this forum. I have been riding and racing (enduro's, MX and road racing) bikes a good part of my life but have just picked up my first trials bike. I have gotten a bit older (75) and figure it is time to really learn how to ride a bike. lol I recently picked up a 2023 Gas Gas 300 TXT Racing. I certainly will not be anywhere near the likes of Tony Bou but I am having fun. I reside in the northeast area of the US. I look forward to learning much from this forum.

Hi there. I purchased a 76 KT 250 a few months ago, and am currently in the middle of restoring it. I'm guessing my question about whether or not to bypass the oil pump has been debated a number of times. But my line is broken, and I can either try to find a replacement or switch over to pre-mix. I am inclined to keep it as original as possible, but see it's pretty hard to find that oil line. I am a road rider (BMW R100rs, and a few old Honda's) but wanted to get into trials since I was 14 (back in the 70s). Since mom and dad didn't want anything to do with motorcycles, I did trials riding on my converted Schwinn stingray. Sort of a precursor to mountain bikes maybe.…

Hi everyone My name is Matt, and I've got 25yrs of road bikes under my belt, but always wanted to have a go at trials. (used to compete at landrover trials). I bought a 2009 beta evo 250 this week with the help of a friend who is very into trials. First ride this afternoon, just up and down some parking spaces with a few steps. I love it! But wow is it different to a road bike. I'm a mechanic and a welder, so happy doing stuff on my own bike. (good job as it needs fork seals urgently) Based in Newport, my trial riding friend is over in Clevedon, so I would love to find some local people who are into trials. Just joined the forum having recently purchased a 1989 JCM 325 Europa. Just looking for resources to source a manual and parts for the future - the bike is running well, but obviously i need to maintain it. Anyone with advice? Regards, Pete

Bought a absolute dog of a bike a couple of weeks ago so what I have after a few weeks is 1994 Beta Techno The exhaust is good 👍🏻 mmm it’s starts ok 👍🏻 kill switch works clutch not so good gearbox oils staying where it belongs not so good l! So I bought the ole dog a few weeks ago, and have been on a journey ever since ! i Ive replaced the front exhaust manifold, and gasket , new radiator and fan ( fan needs to be wired up) I’ve fitted new thermostat to the head , new O rings to the head and to exhaust system. I'm the proud owner of a 72 MAR 250 that I've owned since '74. She's in great running condition, but I could use help in locating the rubber parts that naturally don't fair well over the years. Hello from West central Missouri. Older guy..I'm 62 years old. Retired , and on fixed income. Social security. Been saving up for the last few years. Saved up 1500.00$ Been wanting a bike to ride. I do have a large yard here on the old farm. Then I see a video of a trials bike. I like the go slow part. But anyhoo.. there's not much to pick from around here. Got on the web. Asking about a used bike.. 125cc ? Nothing. But I was absolutely shocked to find out what a new trials bike costs. Ten thousand dollars.. that completely blows me out of the water. Hi all, I've wanted to get a trials bike for a few years and well, a great deal came around. I purchased a 2022 Beta Evo 300 2T with only 6 hours on it. I purchased it from a supercross kid who didn't like it, because he "likes going fast" and because he wrecked recently in a race and had to have shoulder surgery. As a novice I was looking for a 200cc or 250cc but used trials bikes are hard to come by around here and this was a stellar deal for a "new" bike. I'm looking forward to learning the basics and appreciate the expertise on this forum!

Hi all, Had plenty bikes in the past but never a trials bike although fancied it for long enough, so decided to go for it and see what happens. Bought a txt 280, 2001 model I believe. Runs sweet as a nut, starts first kick, been sat in a garage for a few years so got a good deal, bit rough around the edges but not overly a***d about aesthetics, needs a good service and once over, only expensive part to sort really is the chrome on one of the stanchions has a 10mm flake off it which I think I’ll do a yeeha fix on with epoxy for now till I can afford the rechrome. Hi all. New beta techno 250 owner here from west Scotland. Bought as a non runner (no spark). Like pretty much all techno's I've seen mentioned on forums the wiring is a rat's nest and seems to be an issue related to the kill switch. Currently having so much fun with the original wiring diagram 🙄 Wish me luck
