Hi All, I'm returning to trials after nearly 30 years off. I've been riding an Electric Motion Race 2020 model for almost a year now and loving getting back into things, though it's amazing how much has changed. I'm based in North Yorkshire and have joined both Guisborough and Croft trials clubs, really impressed with both. If you see me out and about, stop by and say hello Ade.

Hi there. I first rode in trials in my teens. I was pretty crap, but I loved it. In my 20s I went scrambling. In my 30s I went hillclimbing. In my 40s I was still hillclimbing In my 50s I tried classic trials on a Cub. In my 60s I started greenlaning. I also bought a Montesa 4ride. That encouraged me to try Long Distance Trials. I love those and now on the eve of my 70s I am thinking of trying club trials again. How easy are Bradford Club trials? Am I making a big mistake?

Hello Trials forum: I just signed up. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I would call myself an eccentric collector of a little of everything... In the dirt on 2 wheels I currently have: 1) an '72 Ossa MAR 250 that I found in a guy's shed. It is pretty complete. The fenders had been sawn off for some reason and it had no spark. I put a new ignition in it and just because ordered the one with lighting output. The bike has no lighting on it now and I want to install just because... Are wiring harnesses available as well as lighting hardware? WHat should I do for a voltage regulator. I would go with original/replica preferably. 2) The rest of my off road tw…

Ever since learning about motorcycles I've loved the idea of small, light, low power bikes that are fun. I got started on an XR-75 as a full grown adult and I've owned a variety of dirt bikes and other motorcycles. Most recently a honda sl125 which I put trials tires on figuring it will be as close as I ever get to owning a legit trials machine. I had that bike for a couple years and k used it on the street as well as back roads and trails but it was not one you could wheelie confidently. One day while riding a friends property in the hills, I started to give him a hard time about still not having fixed his TLR200 honda. His response "why don't you fix it. G…

Hi all. I have a year 2000 Montesa 315r that needs a new rear brake calliper. Brake callipers for this age of bike are not available to buy new. does anyone know if the more modern calliper that fits the 2001 bikes onward and the 4rt can be made to fit the older bike? Any knowledge and advice would be greatly appreciated and would keep this good old bike competing in clubman trials.

Hi, have recently found a Sprite trials bike with a Triumph 500 twin. The log book has the bike as first registered November 1967 - the frame number is 606 (I think as it is pretty faint). The Triumph engine was manufactured in May 1961. From what I've read they were produced 1965 to early seventies. Does anyone have a list of the frames made, their serial numbers and year of manufacture? The bike is very well put together - looking at the last owner details, the bike has spent quite a bit a time over on the west coast of Scotland. If I can find the best section within the forum I'll post some photos, I've seen a few Sprites in the pre 1965 section, which this is no…

Hi all. First of all, sorry for my bad english... I'm French.😉 I started riding trial motorcycles at the age of 14, with a Yamaha TY 50. Then many other bikes followed such as Fantics, Montesa, Bultaco, SWM, Merlin, GasGas and Betas. I competed for quite a long time in the french championship. In the late nineties, i competed the SSDT. Then i stopped for many years. Now i'm back to trial for fun, with a Vertigo 250 R3.

Hi guys, So here I am contemplating another bike. 2 years back I had my workshop broken into and my bikes stolen. My main ride was a KTM SXF 350 and I had a li'l Beta Rev3 250 2007 for messing about on. I incidentally got the Beta back after it had been dumped (it was a bit rough to be fair) however after retrieval I left it in my van over night to have it nicked again and that was 3 weeks later after the 1st theft hmmmm something fishy going on there me thinks. Anyhoo Vowed I wouldn't ride or buy a bike again!! Well my 'vow' isnt holding water, 2 years on and I'm feeling like ive lost a limb and am starting to look at trials bikes. My experience with trials is …

Hi, new member from near Winchester, UK. Rode Trials for 5 years from age 11 then went onto Grasstrack, Speedway and MotoX. Now aged 60 and been racing flat track for a few years and loving it. Just considering getting an Electric Motion (a cheap one!) so I can get more bike time locally and maybe even the odd trial.

Recently picked up a post deployment present for myself, 2009 Gas Gas 300 TXT as my first trials bike. Wife appreciates the slow riding for now working on skills in the yard compared to the zipping around on the KTM 200.😃

Hello! I’m looking to get back into trials and have a question about a bike. I'm looking at a used 2017 Gas Gas contact 250. The reviews I read mentioned this was the first year gas gas got back into bikes after their bankruptcy. The article said it is a true trials bike but also makes a good trail bike due to the larger tank and removable seat. Any advice on this year and model bike? My main concern is that I’m buying a true trials bike, not one that is modified for trails riding. any advice, input, thoughts, etc are welcomed. Thanks!
