I've been on all kinds of motorcycles for practically my whole life but I'm only now at 61 getting around to scratching this itch for a trials bike. I'm out shopping for a bike now. Looking for a late model used bike, most likely I'll buy gas vs. electric, and I'm looking forward to working my way up the learning curve with help from this forum. Thanks in advance. Wes

Hi All Never rode a trial bike before, dont own a bike yet either. Had road bikes for 30 plus years and still own a road bike now. Hit the big 50 December 2019 and would love a new challenge and hobbie that involves bikes and bikers and trials looks as if it could offer that . I live in Wolverhampton and am looking for a local club etc to get a bit of info into where to start. ANY help would be great at this stage Many Thanks Darren

Hello all . Just joined the forum , and am very impressed with the all the different topics available. Forty years back i was interested in trials, and had an old Montesa Cota 247 ,which I used on the road for a couple of years ,and although I never took part in a trial, it allowed me to get up into the hills as an observer with the local Loch Lomond club. I then drifted away from bikes as work and family commitments took over the wallet. About fifteen years ago I became one of the born again bikers, and got back on the road with a Kawasaki ZXR 750. This is now getting a bit big and heavy for my aging bones, so it will have to go. I now have this notion to get myself a…

Want to have another go at trialing, nothing too adventurous, after fifty years absence. Going to organise a one to one session at Blackshaw Moors before I buy anything. Trying to amass as much info as poss before the leap! I have attended some local meets in Derbyshire and Staffordshire and met some grand, helpful folks. Andrew.

Thanks for adding me, want a new angle in life , always fancied a trials bike but never got round to it so fifty this year and decided to have a bash! Always rode motorbikes, since 13 years old, bit of off road but mostly road riding over the years. I stumbled across this site whilst researching trials bikes and it’s great. I’m looking at all types but mainly at Beta evo 200 and the older Montesa 260 4 stroke. I’m in the process of moving from Suffolk (B.S.Edmunds) to Dunmow (Essex) so my wife is insisting I don’t buy a bike just yet but I am looking so you never know ? cheers people, I’ll certainly be on trial soon! Stef.

Ian Huntly, a long time trials enthusiast from Johannesburg, South Africa. I haven't ridden competitively for more than 20 years, but still have my Gas Gas 320. Just bought an Aprilia Climber 240 "to get riding again at least in the very seniors class. Will be pestering for sources for parts for both, eg the Aprilia needs new clutch plates.

hi all, just saying hi :) I've been riding & tuning street bikes for a couple of years now (all year round rider, no car) and recently got myself a lovely 2003 GasGas Contact TXT pro 280 since I've been feeling the mud calling. I don't know if I'll be doing actual observed trials though npton does seem to have a club so seems a shame not to give it a go. I got it more because I wanted something light and agile for a bit of offroad/greenlaning, some urban exploration and improving my stunting without wrecking my main bike (which really didn't appreciate me taking it greenlaning!). Normal crossers all seemed a bit tall and heavy and "on the pipe" for my …

Evenin' all.....I'm an ex moto-crosser, who's, at a certain age where pain is something I would rather avoid at any cost!. So, I've turned to trials, and absolutely loving it. I'm intending to get out with the local clubs very regularly next yr, (nnrd,Bognor,Wothing clubs ect). If anybody would like meet up and do some local events together, that would be great. I've got a spare space in my van, so happy to give someone a lift if you need one Nick (Sir Dabbalot)

Hello All, I just joined this forum in order to learn as much as possible about riding trials and especially to learn more about a Triumph Cub. I've been riding trials, modern classic in AHRMA, for about 5 years now and sold my 1977 TY250 in order to switch to a Cub. It took me nearly all year to find a suitable bike and I've now procured one and know very little about the inner workings having been a two stroke guy most of my life. I'm looking forward to learning as much as possible about this bike and more importantly competing on it next year! Cheers, Bob
