Hi all, Jeff here from Randle (Gifford Pinchott). I just bought an used 2019 Bete Evo 300. It had leaky rt fork and I'm trying to put in new seals in it. I'm trying to remove the bolt on the bottom of the fork. With the forks off I used an air impact gun and it loosened it enough for the oil to leak out. Now it just spins and I've researched the internet and cant find what I can do. Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Jeff

Hi, Bought a Gas Gas 93/94/95 model cheap as it was in bits. Started doing her up, everything, sweet then came across some stripped threads in left crankcase. Thread is too close to a bearing to be helicoiled. I feel I have been ripped off, since the guy who sold it to me never mentioned it, I thought I would overlook it and have been trying to find a way to repair it. However it seems it is not possible to repair. I found what I thought was the right crankcase half on fleabay but on comparing it is obviously not the right one. The one for sale has the carb port on the crankcase yet mine is on the barrel. According to the frame number mine is a 94 model. Can anyone cof…

Hi everyone, i have not yet got a bike, i will be having one after xmass but i need some information first, i'm 51 this year and keep thinking may be i'm to old so i could do with some of the older members input about age, also things have moved on a bit since i had my last trials bike, it was a Bultaco 350 about 30 years ago so i'v been looking at Gasgas, Sherco and beta, they all look very much the same so any information on them would be great, good and bad, an important thing to me is how easy can i get parts for my bike and how easy is it to fix myself, also Montesa look the part, so anything on these four bikes would be a great help. Hello! Thought I'd better introduce myself before diving in with the questions. I've been looking at this site for the last few weeks and I've already found it to be a great resource, thanks guys! So, I'm interested in getting into trials riding. I haven't got a trials bike yet, but I have found a local club, and have talked to a couple of the members who were very helpful. I'm going to attend their next event at the start of March, before I pull the trigger and buy a bike, but I'm pretty much sold on the idea already. Just 44 years after I last rode a trials bike, I'm thinking of having another go. Well, I'm more than thinking about it really, but SWMBO has declared "You've got to sell the boat first", which seems reasonable. Anyone want to buy a boat? My last bike was a 1966 4-speed Bultaco so for nostalgia reasons I'd like to get a Bultaco again. However I don't want something that won't be reasonably competitive, so I suspect I'll be more likely be looking for a Fantic or Yamaha TY (for Twinshock, obviously). No doubt I'll be dropping into the forum frequently, asking a zillion naive questions about bikes, clothing, trailers, techniques, clubs, practice grounds and who knows…

Hi there. I first rode in trials in my teens. I was pretty crap, but I loved it. In my 20s I went scrambling. In my 30s I went hillclimbing. In my 40s I was still hillclimbing In my 50s I tried classic trials on a Cub. In my 60s I started greenlaning. I also bought a Montesa 4ride. That encouraged me to try Long Distance Trials. I love those and now on the eve of my 70s I am thinking of trying club trials again. How easy are Bradford Club trials? Am I making a big mistake?

Hi Everyone, My buddy just gave me this Trail bike for my son. I think it is a 1984 just by looking at other pics . I live in London Ontario Canada and I cant find anything on these except from over seas. It only has 86.4 kms on it. Its like new. It has been stored away for 20 years. The gas was drained and the air box was turned into a home for several mice. The air filter is missing and I need to find one? It has 403 stamped on the cover. Can anyone tell me if there is a Canadian or American dealer? If I cant find anything, what are they worth? I might have to sell it. Thanks Jerry

Morning all, I've been reading various posts on here for a while now. I just got myself a pretty tired looking 2001 Sherco 290 as an introduction to trials and two stroke mechanics, and it would appear form threads I only just found that this is probably not the smarted bike to learn on. Still, that which doesn't kill us can only make us bruised and frustrated, right? As a shortcut to not looking like a tool when I show up to my first meet, are there any spectacular "Hey guys, I'm an idiot" moves which I can avoid? Is there trials etiquette like the 'drop in' rule in surfing? Looking forward to some banter and maybe burning some oil with you guys. Owen

Hi all, I am complete trials novice but fancy giving something other than road riding a go. I am planning on heading to a school for a training day in the near future and if all goes well I will be buying a bike soon after. As a beginner I want to try and stick to relatively cheap first bike and gear where possible.Any advice on starting off in trials, bikes, equipment etc would be greatly appreciated. I've had a few tasty dirt bikes over the years but after a run in, quite literally, with a dear, I've shelved the whole bike thing for a fair while. That was quite a few years ago, and living in the Forest Of Dean it seems a shame to let all the acres of tasty woodland go to waste, so here I am. hi guys im just gettin into trials not yet bought the bike but should have got one in the next couple of weeks ...... anyway my dilema is now finding somewhere to ride well learn to ride in the area i have contacted local council, the police, even the acu to see if they could point me in the right direction but all have come to nothing i do have a small piece of land (lock up garage area) behond my house which will do when i 1st get the bike but has anyone got any ideas where else i can get info from or even better know anywhere in the area that i could go. I have found one place near leatherhead but looking for somewhere a bit closer im literally 5 mins from heathrow air…

Hi there, my name is Joachim, 52 Y and from Germany. Trials was a dream when I was a kid, now it is still a dream as I am a beginner in any way. Sometimes I just can't resist buying a bike, thinking it will run eventually. Newest one is a bultaco about 1970, first bike my age 😉 After spending some time on it I realise I am pretty clueless as there is not so much information easy to find as it is a Lobito 175 MK3 (think so!) Cleand the AMAL, polished some of the alloy, looks great, just like new, but no spark! I don't even now if I can easyly take of the flywheel and put it back on again without messing the whole timming up by moving it a bit... I think there sho…

Hi all, just thort I would introduce myself , I've just taken the plunge n bought my first trials bike, it's a 2008 beta 250 four stroke . The lad I bought it off was really helpfull and even dropped it off for me, and gave me advice when I couldn't start it the next day lol I've had a few trips up and down the street and am defo out of my depth.. At 43 am I too old to learn ? I've had 20 years on the black stuff on sports bikes , but I dnt think it's gona help me any ha ha. I've blagged a lend of a mates van this Sunday, and if my new helmet n boots arrive ill b wobbling around warden law this weekend, so god help me !!! No doubt I will b askin loads of silly newb…
