After reading the forum for a while I thought it was time to say hello. Wrong side of 40. Self employed Motorcycle instructor for last 10 years. Enjoyed trials since my father had James mc many years ago. Currently enoying watching local trials while mates compete. Trying to workout if I would be any better now than when I last owned a TY250 pinky a while back.

Looks like you have a great forum here. Lots of good information and great people. A little about me. I was blessed to be raised in Southern California so was involved in the early years of MX. Lots of pros came from our area. A person could race three days a week and ride (train) the other four if you had time for maintenance. Also was involved first hand with the Camel Pro series. A neighbor was the tuner for Eddie Lawson and Teddy Davidson when they were both novices and as thy came up through the ranks on Bultacos. Ahhhh those Saturday nights at Ascot. So I have a question for you. Just how big is Trials across the pond? Just curious. The club I'm in has about 10 or 1…

Hi All, just got myself a rev3 270 to increase my bike skills, I ride and race a KTM 690 R the Beta is a light little thing to ride and hope it will give a chance to gain the skills needed to get over obstacles, I took the 690 up Pant Glas near Monmouth UK and suprised my self but a clear stage it wasn't. Everytime I googled a question about the rev 3 it comes back here so rather than lurk I've registered. Noel

Hey up my name is Andy aka Lazer. I'm from Leeds and have bought a TY80 for my 7 year old to use around Bumpy, Birstall, Nr Leeds. It needs restoration work which is the main reason I'm here. If it works out ok I may get myself a TY175 to match ! I ride a GSXR750K5 on the roads and am a REAL road racing fan (TT, NW200, Olivers Mount, Skerries, etc) and run a road racing fans' website with a couple of friends: www.flying-sparks.org . I look forward to getting to know everyone. . . . . . . . . Let's see if I can be completely converted to trials.

Hi all. Stumbled across my first Trials event on Sat, the Northern Expert Trials. Bit of a motorsport fan but had never seen Trials before. Now that i have, i wouldn't mind seeing some more of it. I love taking photos so will be looking to try and catch some more trials events and looking for tips in the photography section. Cheers Andy

Did quite a bit in the late seventies and early eighties. Couple of years ago intended to get back into it. Now on my third bike - a lovely 76 TY 250 but not done one trial - how lame is that ?. Don't know anyone who is keen and can't see the Mrs up to her neck in mud !. Anyone around North Worcestershire in a similar boat ?. Or does anybody know of any clubs / groups.
