Dear All After having a 13 year break from trials I have just bought a 2008 Beta 250 and am keen to get out riding agian. I live in Brighton and there seems to be a shortage of good terrain down in the South East. Can anyone advise me of any good clubs down this way and also any places to practice? Cheers Danny

Hello to all, Thought I would introduce myself as I am trying to obtain some information.. I have in my possession a small trophy dated 1935 with the words Leith & District Motor Club, One Day Trial and the name J. G. Jackson. I am trying to find out more about it and hopefully, return it to the owner or family. I happened to find, after searching for Edinburgh Motor CLub and the name an entry in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_Six_...al#SSDT_winners This showed a G. Jackson winning in 1956, 1958, 1960 and 1961. Just wondering if it's the same person or a relation? Any help in getting this small thing back (around 5") to it's rightful owner would be gr…

Just a Quickie to say hello. I'm returning to having a bike after a lay off (marriage young children etc, etc) I started at the age of 7 racing schoolboy grasstrack - moved onto motor x then a spot of road racing in the superstock 400's. As you can see, there isnt any trials history in amongst that list. I have just bought myself a nice clean txt250(03) and hoping to do a club trial next month. From what i understand Trialing is a very family friendly sport, and i'm sure my 4 and 5 year old daughters are going to love watching there Dad make a fool of himself in the mud! if they like it, i'm very interested in the mini electric bikes now available?? cheers for now.

Hi, I am new to trials and live in Darlington but have recently started going to Dalton woods and Charltons. Anyone nearby fancy travelling up? Sundays and Wednesday's mainly, I would like to get to a level where I can compete and think it would help to watch and train with others. Thanks!

  9. Hello everybody. I am nearly 39 years old and really have the urge to start riding trials again. As a young teenage rider I first rode a clapped out Suzuki Beamish 250 with a hole in the cylinder head! I then owned a new Yamaha TY250 twin shock and later a Fantic 240. I rode most weekends and some weekdays in West Yorkshire, England. The 'Flappits' and 'Hawkstone Quarry' were my home practice grounds. I competed in several observed trilas, but did not do too well! My dad also rode and he bought a works Fantic 301 from John Lampkin (which he rode in a world round or SSDT) who lived in Silsden, near to our home. My dad was friends with close contacts of the Lampkin family.…

Hello Just got back on the bike again.. 42 going on 22! I'm very lucky living in an area of the Highlands that allows me to ride out the back gate and up the hill. I had a mid 90's 250 Gas Gas about 10 years ago, had lots of fun then sold it on. I also have a 86 Fantic 201 I've had for years, not concours but mechanically sound, not used much but great fun too. I bought a 03 280 pro last weekend, now having even more fun! Gordee

Hi all Just saying hello. i am Ken from Lincolnshire ( not realy a trials area) i am a member of the Francis barnett owners Club and through this have ended up with a FB trials bike. This is a converted 1958 falcon but I am about to collect an original trials frame for it so making it a little more original. This bike has a Villiers 9E but has been converted with an alloy head and barrel to 250. This is what i needed info on. I am starting to think its a Marcelle from pictures i have seen but am still not certian. Although getting on in years i may be tempted to have a go at an easy trial one day. When i can learn how to send pictures on here i will put pictures and let…
