  2. Hi, After years and years of desperately wanting to go from bike to motorbike trials i have finally done it and got a Gas Gas 280 Pro Raga! How unbelievably more awesome it is than i even thought it would be. I'm completely hooked and desperate to get the hang of this, bike trials helps but its still another kettle of fish altogether or atleast it is to someone that has never ridden a motorbike before. Anyway i'l be searching through all the posts for great tips and advice with all the common beginner questions. Looks like a great forum, dont worry ive been a member of quite a few and know how to use the search button....

Hi everyone - just wanted to introduce myself and share with you my latest toy - yes, after months of Ebay scouring, I have finally bought myself a TLR200! Of all the Honda trials bikes, I always liked the proportions of the TLR best... and having looked at various TLs, RTLs, RSs and all manner of hybrids (some very nicely done, I have to say), I decided to concentrate on finding a decent (road registered) TLR, and have been waiting patiently for the 'right one' to come along... From what I can gather from the documents, it was originally an import (presumably from Japan) in 1986 - so one of the last ones? It is registered, but currently has no MOT or tax, so that is …

Hi, I live in South Wales and bought a 1998 Gas Gas TX 270 to get me up the mountain to fly my paraglider. I am now having more fun riding the bike than flying my wing, would like to know if there are any trials clubs in south Wales. Thanks Andy

well after reaching my mid forties i thought it was about time to put my feet up (excuse the pun) and have another go at trials after a 20 year absence so i bought myself a Gas Gas 250 two years ago (a mid life crisis 250 as my wife calls it ) with the intention doing a few local events, but like all the best laid plans the banana skin was just round the corner i became a father again so all the free time i thought i was going to fill with the trials bike just disappeared so here i am two years later my youngest is up and about ...kind off and iv'e now been given the green light to get back out again .....so im looking some easy local trials or practice areas just…

Hi Guys and Gals My name is James and I used to do trials years ago, and am thinking of having another go. I still have a MH349 which I have had from new in 86 but she needs a bit if TLC to get going again. Things to do Sort out the clutch it slips even when you try to start the bike. New rubbers either side of the carb. Chain and sprockets (They are still the origional ones that came with the bike) Petrol tap leaks needs a new rubber or replacing. New fork slider RHS as the lug that the brake rod bolts to has snapped off. (the wheel has been reversed and the lug on the back of the LHS fork is being used. Paint the frame as the paint has flaked off everywhere. I …

Hi there im james from sheffield im 22 - i started riding trials when i was 14 back then i had a scorpa easy 250 and enjoyed it very much. I then stopped doing trials when i was about 15 and left it at that. I passed my full motorcycle test at 17 and had a fair few motorcycles and currently own a kawasaki ZR7 and a yamaha fazer 600. Recently i got talking to a new motorcycle mechanic at my local bike shop and we got talking about how we became motorcyclists and for me obviously it was motorcycle trials so he said i still do trials and have a van and go to various events so he got me interested in trials again and this afternoon i bought a 2002 gasgas txt pro 250 and am …

Hello all, I'm new to Trials Central and just wanted to say hello from Rochester, NY. I rode trials in the mid-to-late 70s as a kid, and am now thinking of getting back into the sport. I have a 13-year old son who is showing great interest in trials, and we recently went to a vintage meet near here to watch. For most of the last 20+ years, I have had a Bultaco Sherpa T 250 and a Honda TL-125 in storage in my garage. I am now working to get them back in working condition. They only need some minor work (gummed carbs, cables freed up, etc.). It's great to see the interest in vintage bikes after all these years! I hope that I can get a tip or two from the knowledgeable folk…
