  1. Started by blindpew,

Good day folks. I'm a complete newb to trials, although I've always been fascinated with the sport. Plus I used to plunk around on a Sherpa T in the early 70's. I must be completely daft to be doing this at the age of 60, howeverI thought that if I took a sport that requires balance it would only improve my balance overall. I've found a Yamaha Majesty thats a bit ratty but still runs strong and is all there, unlike myself. I'm planning to restore it and use it at the same time so a rolling restoration is in progress. My thing is to just have fun with it and do the odd vintage trial here in the colonies. We have a very active club here in Victoia, British Columbia, Left Co…

Hi from Perth Scotland I just recently took a notion to give trials a go. I'm on the wrong side of 50 (just !). I had a twin shock Fantic many years ago which was an unreliable disaster and I never used it much as never found anywhere convenient to do so. That makes me a complete no-clue-newbie with only a recollection of how hard it was and without the benefit of growing up with BMX's or doing mountain bike tricks ! Not sure if I am mad , stupid or both I'll hang around and pick up some tips. The idea is to pick up a 2nd hand bike and see if I can get to grips with things. Info on anywhere to practice in the Perth area would be really useful. I have info on…

  3. Started by bagonails,

I have just purchased a Bultaco Sherpa T 250 with a view to dabbling in twinshock trials. Never really had a two stroke off-roader before - I'm more into brit bikes (A10 & 6T), but I've always liked the trials scene and have attended a few local events as a spectator - in fact the first one I went to a few years back had Sammy Miller as one of the course stewards (scary). Love the content of the various Trials Central forums, it's like having an extra workshop manual in your toolbox!

  4. Hello I'm Ben 26 from bd12 anyone know anywhere good to ride around here. Just got a scorpa 2006 and will be ready to hit the dirt in a couple of week!!

  7. Started by lankydoug,

I grew up in Colorado, raced motocross and rode in the prairie as a kid. I had a tl125 Honda and rode it in the mountains a little but since moving to Oklahoma I have not done much riding for a long time. My son is 14years old and I bought a 2003 GAS GAS EC 200 DE and I'm setting it up for him to learn on while I look for another enduro and a trials bike. Bikes are so much better now than in the 80s when I stopped riding I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting to get a bike. I intend to practice trials nearby to sharpen my skills and trial ride the other bike with my son.

Hello I am new here , my name is Joan , or John in English , though i have been watching you people posts from long time specially when i was living in China, now i decided to register myself as i am back in Spain, from there was impossible to get registered, you know and hear about the great " Fire" Wall. So i had a need for trials so strong in there that i considered doing a trials bike from an street 125 cc 4 stroke quite common there, following the old trials phenomena and your posts in the classic trial forum, i learned a lot of stuff from your posts, but i consider it a little difficult for me, so i start considering the easier option of buying and old trials bik…

Hi All, I've had a 2001 Sherco for 3 years now and never really rode it. Might have run 2 tanks of gas through it in my backyard. (must have been a good 20 minutes worth) I have a KDX and have done a few enduros, but I'm not one of the hardcore bunch. C senior midpack rider if I even finish. I own a small business, have 3 small kids, and really can't afford to whack any more trees like I did last year. I mussed up my knee last September (that's right, a year ago) and if I don't pay attention, I'm still limping around. Anyway, (Can you tell I my fingers move right along on this thing) I helped a bit setting up for the Berwick national 2 weeks ago (ok, I cut the stakes for …

  12. Started by slick,

Hi all I have recently been introduced to riding a Trials bike, and a friend is doing a very good job in talking me into to buying one. It's a 2000 Beta Rev 3 and looks to be in good condition, but needs one or two tweeks. My concern is, where can I ride it? At some stage I'm sure I'd be up for a beginners Trial competion but I'd like to learn the style of riding it first. I know about Muddy Wheels which is good value up in North Devon, but I'm wondering if there are places closer to home (Plymouth)? Grateful for any advice. Cheers, Slick.

Hello everybody, thought i would start here as it seems the most logical place. My name is Matt and i live just outside Shrewsbury. I have just come back from a 3yr break away from trials and have just bought myself a really good beta techno. I will be making a few trips to practice grounds and a few abit further away should anyone wish to join me. I cant wait to get back out again on the trials iron. i hope to use this bike for a year or so to get my hand back in and then maybe upgrade again when the time is right. Would love to hear from any other trials riders in the Shropshire area. All the best.......Matt Clarke

I've done all kinds of two-wheeled antics and owning a trials bike has been a dream since I was 10. I'm a touch over 30 now and hoping previous injuries dont keep me from enjoying myself. I'm driving to TN. friday to pick up an 04 280 Pro from a friend. I cant even describe my excitement! I've been around two greats of the sport and many occasions during streetbike competitions and shows and it's an amazing sport just as a spectator alone. Chris Pfiefer being one and Geoff Aaron being the other. And they attack ANYTHING you can point to! Friday cant come fast enough..... And hopefully I can find some places to ride around here... Well, I'm off to read up on some…
