Hi Folks After racing and being heavily involed in Supermoto for the past few years, just got into trials through a mate and i,m now hooked, the cost for starters is a bonus compared to what i been used to, but its great fun,gonna give it a few more weeks and then have a go at competition level, novice i guess, whats club would you recomend me joining, live in Dorking, Surrey, do you need a licience for one off events or can you get a day one to try it out and just turn up. hi to everyone and must say tha its great to find a site where everyone seems so willing to share info and help.My dilemma is that i have what i believe to be a 1987 tr34 and cant seem to find rear discs for it,pads arent a problem but would prefer to buy both together and be sure they both work well together.Also my friend assures me its a 310cc model but cant seem to find proof of existence.I also have an 87 ty 250 i may restore but need seat and rear mudguard and maybe back wheel for it...i say may restore because dont know if it would be worth my while.I hope to get sum pics up soon and start said project so hope someone is willing to help me sourcing parts and tech i…

He told us that we would have to ride trials for 1 year ( to properly learn to ride a motorcycle ) before we could do any form of racing. Hey Guys, Just figured I'd stop in here and say hello before diving off into the mechanical and technique topics. Some places get all fussy about that sort of thing. I am a long time mx rider who just stumbled upon a 2000 Gas Gas 280. I've always wanted to try one and this one fell in my lap. It needs some work. I'll be looking for parts soon. I'm going to try to fit a 2002 mid pipe on the exhaust. I found one cheap and the guy will take it back if I can't make it work. I'm in Alabama if there are any other trials guys around here. I bought my ty250 mono six months ago and have just got round to using it but have discoved it has a rattle on the engine so a mechanic had a look as it sounds like the piston is hitting the head.But the piston shows no sign of that there is no play in the big are small bearings just a bit of wear and tear so he put on a exta base gasket but it still clunks and rattle . So i wonded if any one has any idears on what it could be also what oil do you put in the gear box ? Thanks

Hi to all, I live in Devon and used to ride to an appalingly low standard when i was a boy on a 123 cota. I've been rebuilding a basket case early 349 which is now running and rolling ......ish. I was pleased to see that I am still in possession of no skill what so ever. I'm considering fitting a chair for the wife so at least the pair of us will look stupid. Hi everyone i have just got myself an 05 300 raga,after owning an 05 280 the problem is the clutch the raga seems to have quite a heavy clutch where as my 280 was very light.After doing a trial on sunday my left hand was aching & i could hardley keep hold of the bars.Some of yhe guys i talked to said the raga has a heavier clutch does any body no if this is right & what can i do to make it lighter.Cheerz.

Hi all i'm Dave 27 live in dundee, scotland and have just bought a ty175 not sure of the year think 75-76, ( i also own a 1980 gs1000 and a heavy modded gs250 with a cbx 550 engine ) its a bit worse for wear but runs well i'll post up some pic's soon dont think i'll ever compete in any competitions just want to restore it and have some off road fun look forward to diving into this world of knowledge Dave p.s. if anyone lives near me do they know of anywhere i could take the bike for a little practice ?

hi, i'm nicolas from south france i'm riding vintage trials bikes for three years now, , specialy english ones. i own an ariel ht5, a cub, i had in the past a 1962 greeves scottish, beamish suzuki... but know i'm fond of my miller replica... quite different of the others i had, but really fantastic.. i find your forum very interesting vintage riding seems to be most popular than in france!!

The last time I was on a trials bike was a good 15 years ago and a good few stone lighter. Have never doen the sport properly. Is there anywhere in and around the Aberdeen area that is good for second hand bikes? Reading the info on here I was thinking a 200 but maybe a 250 softened as a starting point. Is there any set advice on weight v CC or does it come down to gearing and such like as well? 15 stone to save someone asking the question. I stumbled upon the Bon Accord MCC website and there seems to be a lot of area's for the events, does anyone know of a readily available practice area in or around Aberdeen out with the event's? I will likely pop along to the next…

Since I was a teen in the 80's I always wanted to do trials. In the 90's I met a trials guy at the speed skating club and got me interested again. Never got to do it in the 90's as I was living in NYC. Now living in california and trying to get out of riding my motorcycle in the street ,trials is back in my mind. I have lots of questions and will be joining a local club once I move to Sacramento. I m in the process of selling my KTM 950 adventure bike and looking to get a trials bike soon. Cheers, Redster
