I've joined the forum because it seems like a good place to learn from folks who know much, much more than I do! I'm a retired teacher who has been riding on roads and trails from more than 40 years, but has never been on a trials bike. Now seems like a good time to correct that oversight, especially since I live in an area with lots of places that look perfect for trials riding (southern Illinois, in the Shawnee National Forest). I'm looking forward to reading and learning. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I am a 52 year old (but still 18 in my mind), I own and run a hotel on a nature reserve in Southern Spain, I have an adventure license so also operate a quad tour company and multi activities in the area (kayaking, walking, paracending etc etc) I have just purchased a 280 Gasgas (I have not owned a trials bike for 20 odd years), I have bought it because there are some great tracks that I use for the quad tours and some days I can use the gas gas for guiding instead. I purchased the Gasgas as a non runner, have now got it running but have a few small problems which I have mentioned elsewhere on the site. Any interesting info on the 280 would be appreciat…

Hi there, I have just recently bought a Triumph Tiger cub trials and when I got to the seller's place, he had a Dalesman 125 sitting in the corner. Really liked it so I brought it home. He said that it had been sitting a while. Changed the fuel and plug but can't get her to go. There is a bit of a spark. Any one got any ideas. How do you get the flywheel off. Scary!

Hi All Returning to trials after 20 odd years and I'm still no good! But the atmosphere seems much friendlier these days and with plenty of wobblers routes around now, I'm hoping to beat the odd 8 year old....

Hi Chaps. My name is Paul, I live in Sussex. I've been following the sport on and off for many years (Rathmell vs Lampkin at school) and now find myself in a position to participate. I will be entering my first trial next w/e. A friend from work has kindly offered me the loan of a bike for a begginers comp. at Golding barn, can't wait! I'll be looking for my own bike and will put a post in the general section regarding machine choice. Paul.

Howdy yall! Just saying hello. Having ridden road bikes for 35 years and had a short but furious foray into road racing I'm now posting on the website of what I'm finding to be a completely addictive motorsport! Having wrestled with a Sherco 320 as my first trials bike last Summer, (mistake number 1!) I've just bought what everyone says is a more gentlemanly 250 Evo. Time will tell. I've searched these pages and found a wealth of info and thought it was about time I registered. I intend to attempt to hone my near non-existant skills this Spring and Summer and am looking for all you lot to help me. I'll keep scouring the forums for tips and advice and will no doubt post …
