I have had to drill my own pilot jets for the TLR200. If I remember correctly, the #40 is .4 mm or 0.0157". A 1/64 drill is 0.0156" and a #78 drill is 0.016". You can get small drill sets at:

I did once see a link for carb parts that suggested the #40 jet from some year CB750 would fit but never tried that one. The TLR200 main jets are the same as XR100 mains but the pilots are different.

They're hard to come by. This guy has them but hold onto your wallet! www.motorcyclecarbs.com

You're better off drilling... It helps with the off-idle stumble but doesn't cure it completely.

Dean,

I'm not quite sure if the TLR has a Keihin carb, but take a look at this early Keihin pilot to see if that's the type you need. If so, PM me with your address and I'll send you a big bunch of #38's free so you can drill them and experiment without worrying about making a mistake. I have a lot of them for some unknown reason in my jet boxes and never use them.

Had the same problem on my cub, had to have the air screw out 2 turns further than the best idle setting to get rid of the off idle stutter.

I drilled out the jet using the mini drill set below..

http://www.rdgtools.co.uk/acatalog/DRILL_SETS.html

I took the jet out to 0.4 and then 0.45, now ticks over with the screw 2.5 half turns out and no stutter.. fixed for less than a fiver and 1/2 an hours work.
