January 9, 200818 yr Hi can anyone please tell me how much gear oil to put in when i change it . shouid it go to the top of the glass on the clutch casing?
January 10, 200818 yr NO NO NO, 350 cc max....is plenty for an 07 Pro.......Any more just blows out the breather when the oil gets HOT and expands..........
January 10, 200818 yr This topic has come up many times in these forums and no definative answer has ever seemed to be given. The general concensus is anywhere from 350 to 450. Personally I use 450.
January 10, 200818 yr I was told 350 when i got my 04 250 pro and thats i've always put in! Even in my 07 300. Haven't changed the amount. I agree with D. Sileo, put too much in and it'll just come out of the breather. I've seen it happen.
January 10, 200818 yr Author cheers guys thanks for the advice my local dealer reckons 500ml will be ok but he says a little may squirt out of overflow pipe
