  1. Telecat I see Y & G do a small wheel route. My eldest is keen to get out on his TY80. Is it a separate route or one for me to ride (clubman) with him. Worth a drive over to? I am in Bury but drive up to the Richmond ones Cheers Big Chick
  2. I took my eldest on his TY80. The weather had made the course and sections too hard for him. Speaking to one of the guys that set it out, the stream was dry on the Friday! Still I enjoyed it as a result but had to hose me aswell as the bike down when I got home. Would be a great venue for a summer trial at the easy end of difficulty, especially as the Fishemans has a great range of ales and does excellent food. Not sure they would have let us through the door after finishing on Saturday. Bri8617 - How long did it take you to get going in the end or did you have to resort to pushing it home? My lad is 10 and still a bit tentative (but despite crashing and hurting himself was still asking when he could have another go). I think it would be good to get him out with someone of his own age and similar ability. Any others out there fancy meeting up at Back Cowm one weekend for a dads and lads session?
  3. No can do this Saturday. Taking my eldest to a local trial on his TY80. Got to encourage the next generation!
  4. Not got a date. Just a certificate to contact and arrange one to suit. Can't do the may date either so looks like I will have to wait until June
  5. I was 40 over Easter - Boooo! especially as the over 40s is more competative than the novices. But.... pressie from Mum and Dad arrived yesterday.. a James Lampkin training day at Addingham Moorside. Fantastic. Something I would probably never have bought myself. Looking forward to it already. Mum saw me ride for the first time in 20 years or so the other week. Perhaps she saw that I needed all the help I can get
  6. Just to stop you getting complacent
  7. Yeh yeh, what photo I hear you say. Try again - previewed and still cannot see it. Browsed to the file which is a JPEG cropped to 1024 768. Any advice?
  8. Dabber's section, number 58 and after the water level had fallen several inches. The photo does not do the steepness justice!!!!
  9. A mate at work has been offered a 2004 for
  10. Trust me it's worse, much worse (when it runs). It was JRSUNT's dad's farm bike for a couple of years before I bought it so it has had a hard life. He had a home made trailer he used to tie to the back to take several bales of hay and sheep nuts across the North Yorks moors.
  11. In addition, anyone know a good source of spares? Most seem to be out of production/unavailable. Needs a coil to start with. Thanks Andy Dabber I dabbed specially for the camera, honest. Would the remains of your 348 fit in the back of the Galaxy when we go up for the Scott?
  12. I have an old and clapped out cota 348, but it has sentimantal value as I have had it fo 20 years. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the handbook and if Haynes did a manual (I seem to remember one for the 348/247) to try and ressurect the old girl. Thanks Andy

    Brake Pedal

I've got size 13 boots so no problem reaching it for me. Quite the reverse really, keep standing on the bugger in the middle of a section
  14. Excellent. Family Big Chick will be there for a day out (hopefully in the sun)
  15. Thanks Dab Man, how sure is sure? and anyone else know if this is right. Cheers Andy
  16. We happen to be in Devon the weekend of the 14th/15th August and if I remember rightly there is a British Championship round there that weekend (coincidence that isn't it). Can anyone tell me where it is being held? Thanks Andy
  17. Where does the air come from?
  18. Less than 5 bruises, too easy, more than 10, too hard
  19. Rode the Rochdale evening trial last night and there was a notice posted that there is a round of the Northwest Center Championship being held by Bolton Club at Scout, 11:00 start on Sunday (13th). "They have not got it into TMX. Tell your friends". Having heard TC mentioned in an overheard conversation and talked to a felow lurker last night, I am sure there are plenty of potential riders out there reading this. Trials at Scout are usually pretty good, a decent length lap over the moor with a variety of sections, so get yourselves along. Best thing for me is I can see the start from my house
  20. Getting the courage to brave the portaloo was your priority as I recall
  21. Well, back from my hols and just want to add my thanks to BDMC and Andy for a reet good do. Bruises are healing nicely. I have to say I was a bit wobbly (more than usual anyway) and had even more stupid fives than usual but I can't for the life of me work out why that might have been Dabber may have been top TC entry but at least I managed my frosties in the morning (and kept them down too!!)
  22. Mine's in (thanks for the confirmation BDMC). Might even get a top 5 finish at this rate
  23. Sent my entry nearly 2 weeks ago, has it turned up? If not will send again. Andy Chicken
  24. Steve Get yourself a bike. Was "born again" after nearly 15 years an loving every minute. the bruises fade after a week or so as well. Could not believe how easy a modern bike is to ride after my faithfull 348.
  25. Hey Glen. Thought me and Dabber were the only trials riders ever to come out of Seaham. Used to live on Dene House Road. Is it still there as I know all the pits are gone. Still would have improved the view from our bedroom window.
