  1. Thanks Copemech. Will have another go at it. I didn't take all the jets out last time so may have missed something. Cheers Big Chick
  2. Was playing on the bike in the snow and it felt like the carb was icing so put it back in the garage. When I have taken the bike back out, still getting the same symptoms but the temperature was plus 4.5 centigrade. Symptoms are Starting with the choke it revs much higher than normal When warm will not tick over A delay in pick up when you open the throttle and no power at the bottom end Delay in revs dropping when shutting off Will rev to near normal max revs but will not rev out as cleanly as usual Will not restart without the choke I have stripped and checked the carb (Del orto), jets are clear though there was signs of condensation. Put it in the airing cupbpard for a couple of hours to make sure it was dried out. The slide opens freely and snaps shut when you close the throttle. There are no signs of any splits in the rubber between the air cleaner box and carb or cylinder and carb. Put it back together but still got the same problem Any ideas on what is wrong gratefully received Cheers Big Chick
  3. Did a Jim Lampkin day last year at Addingham Moorside - not too far from Burnley and an excellent day
  4. Can recommend Jim Lampkin's training days. My lad and I did one, really enjoyable (and long day, we only stopped as it was dark at 4:00 having started at 10:00!!) So in answer to the earlier question, Jim Lampkin training discounts/prizes would do nicely thank you.
  5. Not bothering with food again then!
  6. Might make ours more desirable come time to get shot eh Dabber - we are sitting (well standing) on an investment.
  7. Not another one from Yorkshire!
  8. Good trial - really enjoyed it. And the best I have ridden since 1978
  9. Thanks Telecat. I generally run it on a fully synthetic oil at about 60 to one. There does not appear to be a manual so i will e-mail Gas Gas UK to get an answer on that one. It seems strange that it ran fine for a couple of months though if it is the mixture that is wrong. Charlie - there is no colouring to the porcelain Thanks for your help guys
  10. Mechanically minded I am not so any help greatly appreciated. Ben's Rookie has run fine for a couple of months since I got it, but suddenly stopped straight after starting from cold. It sounded like he ran out of petrol. Put a new plug in and he rode the trial no problem. On to the trailer and two hours home, cleaned it then same again, sounded like he ran out of juice. New plug and away she went. Went to ride it yesterday - no go. Yet another new plug and away she went. The plugs are very black, but I put this down to it being a 70cc. Any ideas or do I just need a large stock of plugs? Thanks Big Chick
  11. Put sherco (or any of the bike names) in as a search on ebay. There is usually someone advertising on there. About
  12. Mine have been on for a month or two now. I am 6ft 7 and best part of 18 stone. They replaced the Sherco steel ones cos they had sagged a bit (can't think why!!) No problems at all with them so far, they look good and I don't slip off them as much when they get muddy and can take the worst Back Cowm can throw at them so far.
