Does it really matter what colour the flags are ? turn up pick your class pay your money then ride the flags you are told, it's not rocket science. I rode M'bro 2 day at Fryup and there flag system worked well, I rode Eboracum and Thirsk last weekend and their system works ok, I know Guisborough use there own flag system and this weekend its a Scarborough trial and they are using a purple route for the first time for beginners. I'm a beginner to the sport and I've managed to suss every club out so far, I say leave it as it is as it could cause mayhem to change to a universal system.

I'll be there if my rota allows Couple of months ago I would not have been able to ride round so to finish is a big improvement for me.

Day 1 done 10 good sections and a good ride round, unfortunately I rode like a prat again even bigger than usual. 6 pints later in the rugby club maybe I was not that bad and roll on tomorrow

I was going to wait till I was in the Shetlands Wednesday and buy you a pint Had a real busy weekend and never got round to saying thanks, I have emailed the shop and I'm awaiting there reply, but I got talking to a bloke at the trial at the weekend and he says he can get me one.

If thats one of your easier trials I would hate to see what a difficult trial would be like. Far to hard for a me, fell off in section 4 hurt myself and retired from the trial but carried on and rode the full lap with my mate. Cracking venue and a challenging ride round, pity about the weather.

Looks like heavier springs don't exist in the UK

Had chance to mess on tonight got the front nearly sorted but the rears a mile away, got the rear maxed out on preload and I have 72mm sag looking for 55mm so quess I need a heavier spring.

The Darlington club are holding a trial this Sunday at Oxnop near Gunnerside in the dales, I have never ridden with them before but I have heard most trials out in the dales are tough ones ? I'm a complete novice and would love to ride but I don't want to get in above my head and not enjoy the day. Anyone ridden here before ?

The front pipe is now getting changed under warranty as there was a pin hole leak in one of the welds.

Just got a new Gas Gas 250 and I find the suspension very soft compared to my old Beta even when the compression damping is full adjusted, has anyone tried different weight oils springs etc ? Also I managed to get trapped between the bike and a tree yesterday and I have melted my pants and my skin from my right leg on the the front pipe (titanium) anyone had any luck cleaning marks off the front pipe without scratching the finish ?
