    Ty Mono Shirt Disc

Thanks Chaps, that gives me some ideas to work on..... All Power to the Forums!
  2. I have a TY250 Mono fitted with 'Shirt/Grimeca' front disc conversion. Does anyone know what the individual componants are from? Looking to replace the pads and probably the disc but need some guidance on getting the bits. And Yes, I know the brake is worse than the drum but thats what I am stuck with.
  3. Can anyone tell me who sells these please?
  4. What a shame for Mark and his merry band. Yet again it seems the dealers who work the hardest for their customers ultimately suffer while the "less scrupulous" flourish.
  5. Sorry for yet another Bantam question but.......B175 frame:- The cast iron lug wel.ded to the top of the frame at rear, the top mounting for the subframe. Is this welded to the frame or is it a lug joining the two sections of frame together? I remember seeing an old film of frames being brazed together on a hearth using lugs and frame .sections being brazed in. I don't want to grind it off and my frame fall in two bits!
  6. Regarding the big bore conversions produced by Johnny Burns. These were originally produced for Scrambling and I think I am right in saying Chris Milner of Chesterfield was supplied with one to develop for Trials. He had it fitted to a Cotton. Mick Andrews assisted him trying various additional flywheel weights etc. and changes to the carburation (I think he ran an Ossa carb.). I can't remember the outcome but Chris was soon Ossa mounted via Eric Housley. Sorry if this is not 100% correct but we are talking nearly 50yrs.ago
  7. Boy do I wish I had friends like you! In UK several companies offer "Sonic Cleaning" for carbs etc, that's the place to start. Good luck........or you could just give it away again, that's one way to make new friends
