  1. Thanks for all your replies, ive found a club not too far from me the ESM,and sent an email but no reply yet,and theres a trial/motocross shop in the next department that ill visit when im over that way.

Its a real shame all the space out here id have thought it would a popular sport but it seems motox is more popular.

    Quandmeme,je cherche encore.

    Bien cordialment.

    Andy.

  2. Hope someone can point me in the right direction here,i live in France just souh of normandy and im looking to join a french club and compete but try as i might i cannot find a club or much info on the club scene at all.

I have been on the FFM website but apart the championship stuff there doesnt seem to be much else,i dont even know if they run stop or no stop.

So any info wil be much appreciated.

    Thanks Andy.

  3. Hopefully one day ill be able to offer advice instead of asking for it,but until then.

Has anyone fitted a road/light kit to their 315r,is it fairly straightforward,or would i need a manual?

Ive just bought one, because over here in France you need lights on all the time, and without a trailer at the moment im sure i can make it to the practice area ive found on a tank full.

    Thanks in advance regards Andy.

  4. Hi all, just some knowledge needed, ive got a mate with a 2002 315r thats got a blown engine, now hes going to buy something different rather than rebuild the montesa and hes offered me his for spares.

Ive got a 98 315r,i know the forks will be different, but is there much if anything else that wouldnt fit mine,i may even try and rebuild his if its just the top end, anyway thanks for any advice/knowledge.

    Regards Andy.

  5. Hi spokey, with regards to the headstock bearings, before you buy any slacken the the head stock bolt off and try with a c spanner nipping them up a bit, worth a go before you buy the bearings.

Mines a 98 but i assume yours will have a grease nipple to pump some grease into as well.

    Good luck Andy.

  6. Hi all,

I just wondered what gearing you all choose/prefer for your 315r,when i bought the bike it had a 10tooth front sprocket and 40 tooth rear, now the chain and sprockets are up for renewal ive got no idea what to choose,im thinking a 43tooth rear might be better but thought id ask opinions first.

    Thanks Andy.

  7. Hi all,ive found somewhere to practice over here, but i will need to ride on the road to get there,so i just wondered where i can buy one and roughley how much is a headlight and rearlight assembley for the 315r.

Especially now its getting darker, and in France all bikes need there lights on all the time,so dont want to fall out with the local Gendarmes, they carry guns.

    Thanks again Andy.

  8. Sorry to hijack such an interesting thread,i just wondered where in France you are Metisse,i live just below basse normandie and am looking to join a club, any help would be gratefully received.

Setting out a course looks to be a time consuming job, so i guess clubs are gratefull of any help given, there are pros and cons to it all but at the end of the day were all sportsmen and women so should accept the way it is and enjoy our riding, just my opinion of course.

  9. Thanks for the replys guys,i didnt think you could weld the cast stuff so thats good news,im new to trials so i know where a lot of road bike breakers are,but are there any trials bike breakers around, thanks again really helpful.

    Regards Andy.

  10. Hi all,i went to change the wheel bearings today, and came across a bigger problem, just wondered if anyone else has had the misfortune to find the cast piece of metal that the two pinch bolts on the bottom of the fork leg go into has broken off,if you have or know of a way around the problem without spending loads of money on a new stanchion it would be greatly appreciated, thanks now.

    Regards Andy.

  11. I had the same problem on my 98 315r,caroline sorted me out with a seal kit, nothing wrong with the seal kit but master cylinder is still leaking through the seal, double checked ive replaced seals correctly and im sure i have,so if anyone can help it would be appreciated, sorry to hijack your thread but i did want to say try caroline at sandifords, but i see youve already found them so ill just go now, good luck.

    Regards Andy.
