no your wrong its his brother david, to be honest i dont think its a fair comparison of both bikes cause steve is the best trials rider in the mud in the world!, and he would of riden the section just aswell on the 4rt if not better.

In the 4rt owners manual it states: " using a spark plug with the wrong heat range can damage the engine or cause the plugs to foul. be careful to select the correct spark plug for the conditions" standard plug: NGK CR6EH-9 optional for cold temperatures: CR5EH-9 so should i now start using the spark plug for cold temperatures? and what is the difference? cheers

i dont notice the weight difference of the 4rt as you just get used to it, however when i do get in to trouble in a section you go back to trying to ride it like 2 stroke, which is a habit hard to get out off. but they are bullet proof and a brilliant bike, but i think its the price that puts most people off the most! as they are a bit more expensive, but you only get what you pay for mate.
  5. i was there on a noisy 4rt!, and i totally agree with what you say, its the best venue in the centre and its p*** poor that loads of riders cant be bothered to travel for an excellant trial in a amazing venue.

i dont have any problems taking my 4rt up anything big, infact i find it easyer to ride than the gasser, but it all changes when i get into some mud. maybe i should try using much less throttle in the mud and a lower gear, that would be the oposite to what i have been doin! i think its just going to take time until i can find out how to ride it in the mud! maybe i should buy some of those footrest brackets lewisport sell to make the footrests further back?

Today was the first day i rode my 4rt in the mud! i have had the bike for about two months and have been really impressed with it in the dry and on rocks, but after today im starting to get a bit worried about the winter slowly getting closer to us, i used to ride a gasgas 280 pro, and it would fly through slippy wet mud with no problems, as for my 4rt what a pile of sh**! but im not going to give up. Are there any other 4rt riders out there who no the correct techinque for ridding these bikes in the mud?
  8. i have just brought a 4rt, and have been told there is a restrictor in the front exhaust pipe, after taking the front pipe off i couldnt find it, so its prob been taken off already, but there seemed to be no gasket between the exhaust and barrel is this correct? can anyone help?
