  1. I found that if you loosen the head studs and rotate the cylinder helps with fitting head pipe.
  2. Yes I am using TY 250 forks with Magical springs, valving, and adjustable spring load caps. The triple clamps are billet aluminium that basically make the forks parallel with the steering stem, stock Ty clamps have approx 3/8 inch of taper from the top clamp to the bottom, mine have no taper, I'm using modern Fat style handlebars I have moved the rear shock upper mounts down about 2/1/2 inches and welded new tabs on the swingarm to lengthen the wheelbase 2 inches. The complete package is very nice to ride turns great feels very modern , I'm also using Betor/ Sammy Miller pro rear shocks.
  3. Thanks for the kind words! In total this is one of three 175's that I have built. They are so much fun to ride. Summary of my mods, Billet triple clamps with the fork tubes parallel to the stem, TY 250 forks Magical, valving, adjustable caps and progressive springs, My own version of the all in one exhaust and header pipe, ported cylinder, boyesen 2 stage reeds, modified stock airbox, lengthened swing arm, moved upper shock mounts and betor shocks, black excel wheels with buchanan stainless spokes. I'm also using a electronic ignition and a Mikuni VM 26 carb. I almost enjoy riding this bike more than the moderns anymore. Steve
  4. Hello, I'm getting ready to install the Magical damping rods and progressive springs on my twinshock TY 250. I can't seem to find out how many CC's of oil I need with the new parts and what weight of oil is needed. Thanks, Steve
  5. I am ready to change the oil in my forks on the 250. Can anyone recommend which weight oil works best and how much per leg? Thanks Steve
  6. I am looking for a WES T/S all in one exhaust center box for my TY 175. Can anyone tell me if they are still being manufactured and where can I buy one? Looks like everyone is out of stock. Thanks, Steve
  7. Hi, I am getting ready to start modifying my Ty 175 frame and swing arm. I am looking for advice and possibly pictures of which mods work the best. I was planning on using either falcon or magical rear shocks with the swing arm extended with the top mount moved down, and possibly stock front forks with magical springs or a complete 250 conversion. Is it possible to heat the top tube/cut the center tube to change the steering angle to 26 degrees. Is it also possible if I made jigs can I make a stock frame into a close copy of a majesty 200 like I have seen done to a 250 on this site. I have access to a perfect Majesty 200 to use as a example. I am also looking for tips on what can be done to the engine to improve the overall performance, as to port timing, head reshaping, and size of cylinder bore and how much piston clearance. Removing mass from the flywheel.I already have a bigger carb and electric ignition. Thanks for any help!! Steve
