  1. Thanks lineaway, I don’t think it’s too much oil because it bottoms out very solid. Is the bottom bolt on the same side as the spring?
  2. 2017 gg txt 250 with the tech aluminum fork only compresses half way and stops. I installed a stiffer spring then noticed the issue. I put the old spring in or no spring at all and get the same result. thanks! glenn
  3. Will the later model shocks fit my 2011? According to lewisport and others the answer is no...
  4. does anyone know a reseller that has a TRP shock for the 2011 GG txt pro 300? I see plenty available for the 2012 - 2016 models but none for a 2011. Thanks!
  5. Good info, thanks! I think I'm just gonna spend the extra $$ and buy a new shock. One that is serviceable...
  6. i have a 2011 gg 300 txt pro and the suspension feels like mush. Took it to my local suspension guy and he said the Sachs rear shock is not made to rebuild. Do I need to get a new shock? The bike squats so low now it won't even stay on the kick stand, it tips over.
  7. my 2011 txt pro 300 always seemed like it was running lean. Knocked on acceleration and sometimes backfired on deceleration and I would sometimes need to use the choke to start it when it was warm and it was always a finicky starter. I moved the clip down one position which was the bottom. I turned in the fuel air screw until the idle sounded good. I rode it around and the exhaust seemed a bit richer and it ran well and started better. After 30 minutes of riding the plastic end of the muffler melted and spit out the aluminum spark arrestor. I thought a richer fuel mix would make it run cooler. I use this as a trail bike and it has well over 1000 miles on it. Was this just a symptom of a clogged exhaust? Should I just clean and repack my pipe or am I missing something? Thanks!
  8. Going to Moab with my new gas gas txt 300 April 6 to may. Looking for people that like to explore and carry extra gas.
  9. I cleaned the carb and adjusted my fuel screw from 2 3/4 turns to 3 1/2 turns. Reved better but still hard to start. I then put in a new bpr5eix plug in and used the following starting procedure: Put the bike in 2nd or 3rd Push back with the clutch out until the rear wheel stops Engage clutch and kick Seems to work! All the Japanese bikes and ktm 2 strokers start first kick unless the bike has been upside down for a bit. Not sure why GG hasn't fingered it out...
  10. Jimmie, I have some insane trials circuits in the gorge. I carry extra gas and do 20 mile rides. If you want email Glenn at gorge dot net. Going to tinker on my bike tomorrow and ride it after...
  11. Good information! Thank you. Once or twice I choked it when it was hot and it started. Going to look up the secret txt starting procedures, then fuel air screw, then jetting. I got the bike a few days after the dallesport event. I did ride there on my first day and I could still see every section...
  12. Just bought a 2011 txt 300 with less than 20 hours of use and it starts fine cold, but not when it's hot. I can bump start it and it runs fine. I have read some posts suggesting a spacer on the head and bigger jets. I have not changed the plug or anything yet. I'd like to start with the easy fixes first... Thanks!
  13. Noticed my fuel air needle was broken. Tried to order a new one from Lewis sport and they have to get it from the factory and the factory is closed for a month. Anybody have a line on athis part for a 2008 beta rev 4rt. Thanks!
  14. Beta rev 4t suddenly lost power and sputtered at higher rpm's. It starts, idles and revs a little with no problem. I took out the carb and cleaned the jets with little change. I noticed a large fitting on the carb with no hose or cap attached (pictured below). https://dl.dropbox.com/0/view/wwme3qxvpt8e3px/Photo%20Aug%2020%2C%205%2025%2034%20PM.jpeg
