2017 gg txt 250 with the tech aluminum fork only compresses half way and stops.  I installed a stiffer spring then noticed the issue.  I put the old spring in or no spring at all and get the same result.

Too much oil or the bottom bolt is not centered.

I don’t think it’s too much oil because it bottoms out very solid.  Is the bottom bolt on the same side as the spring?

No.  It has the same result with no spring in it at all.

What happens if you try and compress it without the top cap on at all?

Same result.

Turns out it had double the amount of oil it should have had in the rebound leg.  It was like this brand new from the factory.
