Hi All, I have an 05 sy250 and was wandering if anyone knows what the standard gearing is? Mine seems too low or what do you run? I will be doing mainly clubman trials! Cheers!

The 12th digit of the frame number on the headstock should be an 8 this is not necessarily fact just what i've been told!

Hi Everyone, I'm new here and new to scorpas. I have an 05 SY250 I want to change my gearbox oil. I see there is a main drain plug on the bottom 12mm and a small level check on the brake pedal side. but what is the other drain plug on the under the gear lever? Also how much oil should I put with 5 litres of fuel. Thanks.

I've just read that the 12th digit of the vin number is the year. That confirms she's an 05. Thanks everyone

Yep that looks exactly as mine does. I guess it's an 05 then, I'm not bothered I only paid

I would say after looking at the photos, it definetely has the bent bash plate. Thanks HAM2

frame number is VMUSCY249SC500347 Do you think it could be an 05?

No they are silver and the bash guard is flat on the bottom but unevenly slanted on the upturn, if that makes sense?

Hi All I have just bought a Scorpa 250 SY I was told it was an 06. Does anyone know how to interpret the frame number? Or know of any other distinguishing features? It has a grey frame, silver wheels, snail type chain tensioner, linkless swingarm, paiolla forks with preload and extension adjustment on the top. Any help would be much appreciated.
