  1. This happened to me last year while doing alot of enduro riding!

I found it was the brake pads which were of a compound that needed to get up to a high temperature before they would start to bite correctly in the cold.

I changed them for a good intermediate compound and sure enough i no longer had to pull on the lever so hard for them to bite.

It could be a number of faults though, personally i would bleed the system and check the seals first as fluid is cheaper! :kerstsmiley:

  2. hi people, me and a friend are new to trials and have both got 2003 sherco,s

we have been to cowm quarry in rochdale about 8 times now and loving it.

we would be gratefull of any advise on other places local to go and if anybody has any links on here about tips on riding that would be really helpfull, also, totally off subject, i need two new tyres and i can get pirelli mt 43's pretty cheap but are they any good or should i get mich x11's which is on it allready.

    thanks for any help ;)

    Hi bud,

michelin 11's or irc's, irc's are a bit cheaper and are a very good tyre. These two brands tend to be the most popular.

  3. Got some white on a sherco, pretty easy to apply with a heat gun, although when they arrived I was surprised the are straight. But with the heat they conform to the rim nicely, had them on since the summer, no damage, clean up easily.

    Hi mate,

im unable to open the other links fsr!

thanks Andy a.bywater@sky.com ive tried pm'ing it aint letting me atm.

  6. I'm similarly challenged re (trials) helmet, I have an airoh rock which although took some time to 'wear in' now is comfortable. However, I've always found shoei road bike helmets to be a great (and only) fit and I've now acquired a shoei trials helmet which is again a great (and much better) fit straight out of the box.

    Andy

what model shoei is it Andy? trials helmets are proving quite hard to find!

  7. what shapes your head?

its impossible to advise on a helmet like this, go to a few shops and try some on.

    I wouldnt say impossible.

I have what looks like a tall thin head from the front but when i turn to the side its really quite big looking! also ive got kind of a bump at the back tapering off to the neck if this helps

  8. I have alot of respect to the riders who can ride around in the tight lycra pants i havent got the balls for it and would never live it down if a non-trials mate saw me  ,

i use mx gear its a bit baggy around the knee but would never hinder the riding
