My son had a gas gas boy. On one outing the chain came of and wrapped around the gear selector. This resulted in the shaft of the gear selector getting bent, resulting in me having to strip the engine to replace the shaft. If you go for the gas gas make sure you keep the chain tensioned.
Hello, can anyone advise on the significance of polished gears and an engine that is ported. I am looking at a beta 125 2011 for my son that has had this done to it. Thanks.
cheers tony27. I really wanted to know how to remove the centre nut. I tried and was to heavy handed - ended up breaking one of the 6 stumps with the threaded holes for holding the pressure plate.
Can the clutch be used with just 5 springs instead of 6?
My son has a Sherco 125 2007. The bike starts and runs fine but when he pulls in the clutch lever (to put it into gear) there is a rattling sound from the area behind the clutch cover. The sound seems to go away when he puts the bike into gear. I can feel the rattling vibrate up to the clutch lever.
Does anybody have any thoughts on what this is and how to fix it.
The chain tensioner on my sons bike has snapped so I need to replace it. Can anyone advise, are chain tensioners for trials bikes specific to a particular bike or can they pretty much fit any bike. For example will one from Gas Gas 125 fit a Sherco 125.
I recently bought a 2006 Sherco 125 2 stroke. The bike seems to start and run ok with reasonable power but there is a rattling/vibration type noise coming from the engine. Any thoughts on what this might be? thanks.

I need to remove the clutch cover but can't get the kickstart removed from the shaft. Does anyone know how to do this. Thanks.
