A Quote from Maria when I asked her a few months ago. 'The Keihin's fit on with all standard rubbers you can to make it easier just flip the airbox rubber around to make it easier to get on and off.'
-
There are a couple of Beta's with Keihin's on, I have seen Maria's and her bike runs well, I have asked her before about fitting them on and she said they just go on as standard.

Hi, where abouts in Oxford is it and when can you ride there. Really looking for a place to ride. Cheers

Just found out that Maria Conway is recovering from a big knee operation. She has just had an ACL Reconstruction as well as repairing to the cartilage. Apparently Maria has been suffering with her knee for the past 3 years after rupturing it back in 2002. Hope all is going well and Good luck with the recover Maria...

I think the ACU needs new blood, the people who are left to pick the Academy squad doesn't know the up and coming youngsters and doesn't seem to care if they can't make exceptions for younger talented riders. At the end of the day they are given a certain amount of money to help the talent which they don't seem to be doing that well! There are a few lads in this country that need that extra bit of help.

what a superb result by maria conway,i did not know she was riding again?. Well Said PHYSCO I think the girl needs more credit to keep her going, I was speaking to her at the end and she said she was nearly the first through most of the sections and said it was so hard, the sections were so green and slippery. It made me think that she would have whooped my ass even more if she was further back! But Well done Maria

Sorry don't agree with you ASIOW! If any girl surly Maria Conway achieved a lot more than any girl in this country, she won the SSDT and was well up there in the Europeans until she was badly injured and I have heard that Maria is also suppose to have a knee op and has been riding without an ACL for 2 years now! Alex will have his day but in my mind his day should have been this year, you have to been seen to be bringing on the 'talent' of this country. Even James Dabill he had some excellent rides in the World Youth and done excellent in the Scott.

After reading the latest ACU magazine i was surprised to see who has won it this year. I have nothing against women riders but i don't think the pinhard cup has gone to the right person this year. Sorry but what has Donna Fox actually achieved this year? She was beat in the British Championship, came nowhere in the European and World Championships, never attempted the SSDT or Scott yet she won it ahead of the like of Alexz Wigg and James Dabill who have achieved so much this year. No youth has won the Europeans before yet he just gets dismissed in the back ground. What does everyone else think?

I don't think is such a good idea as it is classed as a six day trial not a 3 day. If the women are not up to it then maybe they need more practice until they can cope with the full six days. Many of the girls are very capable just look at Maria Conway who got a first class award in the men

This is a girl on a mission!

Yeah I was speaking to Maria at the weekend at the French European. She has just got back from Austria world downhill and said she hasn't ridden a trials bike since May and is still able to get 3rd place with ease. A girl with natural Talent! She said 'she is also really enjoying her Downhill riding', she has only done 5 races and has just been picked to ride for Great Britain in Poland at the end of the month. So good luck to you girl but please don't give up with trials you are one hell of a rider
-
I think its all a little harsh to be blaming Maria, I am sure Maria just wants to become better and enjoy competing with her brothers. Its hard to please everyone.

HI I was speaking to a few riders the other week that had knee problems and the most interesting one was Young Maria Conway, she has no ACL and still rides like normal! She was saying how much her confidence dropped when she first done it, but a year later is still riding and still doing well. So a guess don't give up, just keep working at it and you will get it, knee's are complicated things. :santawink:

I like Maria Conway's, only because I am a girl! :madsanta:
