Hey! Family is looking well. Could I ask what rear mudguard you have on the 301 in the foreground? Thanks

Huge thanks to Grib, who has in one fell swoop answered every question I had to ask.

Hi, Can anybody let me know where I can find such a thing, or maybe even supply me with one? I'm about to start stripping the engine, and would prefer to know its its missing anything and been assembled correctly. Thanks All

6TH GEAR, sorry for shouting, but that makes the difference, and then back brake. 2 people is nice, but I have done this a few times now with right foot on brake pedal, and left on ratchet handle. 1st just doesn't cut it.

Thanks for your help. I should have been more specific. It's the cream/vanilla/off white casings that need some paint. Cheers G

Hi All, As per title really, for a '97 Techno? Thanks G

Beta UK are very forthcoming with wiring diagrams, i asked for a '97 schematic and Mr Lampkin had it to my inbox within a day. They have pics of each years Techno's on the site too: http://www.beta-uk.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=81:1996&catid=44:models '96 http://www.beta-uk.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=77:1998&catid=44:models '98

This might sound odd, but how are you trying to kick the bike over? The best way is to be right over the bike as if your balancing, so a bike stand under the skid pan is the ideal way for me initially. That way I can let it warm up before i ride, and minimise clutch drag. If your one foot on the floor like a conventional bike, the angles are all wrong with a Beta and it is a lot harder. I'm used to mine now, and It gets easier. I can pretty much start it first kick from most any angle.

Picked up some more parts for my 301 from the finishers today. Now it is time to begin re-assembly. Here's a pic of some of the progress. Fantic 301 Parts Back by Mouldycod, on Flickr

Solved! John Lampkin sent one to me, unfortunately the bike has been messed with to the point of not matching up

Hi All, I'm now the owner of a (currently non functioning) 1997 Beta Techno. I'm working through the problems that i find, but there is a real cut and paste wiring job going on in there. Most of all i would like to get it back to standard and lose the spliced in nasties. i have a copy of the 1999 Techno manual I found online, but its such low resolution I can read any of what is written next to the wiring layouts on the diagram. If anyone could supply a better copy of a usable diagram, or point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks All, Graham
