  1. My mate has had his EVO for about a year now and at first it would just randomly stall all the time which we though was due to a blob of aluminium rattling around in the fuel tank left over from where the previous owner had filled a tapped hole with weld! We thought it was cured but its still stalling all the time but pretty much only when the rear wheel is lifted off the ground. So far he's done all the usual things like: New spark plug Factory settings on carb Cleaned carb Checked reeds New fuel filter Reset float level Throttle cable adjuesments Idle adjustments New air filter But we still have this REALLY annoying problem! I seem to remember having the same issue years ago on one of my old Beta Rev3's and I'm sure it was an easy fix but for the life of me can't remember what I did? HELP! :-)
  2. For those that don't already know, the time and date for the initial UK broadcast of round 4 in Pau is: Thursday 12th February @ 22:05 MotorsTV Sky Channel: 447 Virgin Media Channel: 545 Freeview Channel: 71 There are subsequent repeat showings on the above 3 channels at varying times. http://www.fim-live.com/en/sport/sport/x-trial/
  3. Wear latex gloves under your normal gloves, should provide a layer of warm air.
  4. Haha no problem, I like to keep on top of it as it's probably the only decent thing on TV! Plus I like to watch it before I go out and ride so I can pretend to be all Toni Bou.

  6. Well mines still working fine, just feels a little more bitey than before, seems to come in very strong and snappy. Probably just in my head.
  7. So what effect does coolant on the clutch plates have? My clutch does feel like it bites real hard and comes on very quick and jerky, sure it wasn't that bad before? I do have some new DP clutch plates in the garage so may put them in.
  8. It has actually been impossible for me to reply to this thread on my phone today even with clearing history/data and Private Browsing! Have had to wait until I've gotten home to a PC!
  9. Haha, yeah you'll see use up there quite a lot. Its a very nice practice ground now! I need to get on and call Bennetts to see if I get a multi bike discount, if not i'll try thebikeinsurer, thanks!
  10. Yeah as above clearing browsing data and cookies helps for about a day but this is a real pain on the iPhone asthia also clears all other useful data as there is no option to just delete cookies on their own. It's very annoying having to keep trying and failing to login just between browsing pages or trying to reply to a topic.
  11. Shaft arrived today so all done, done two hot oil changes and so far the oil has stayed clear and non milky, rode around the driveway a bit through gears, bounced around a bit and generally let it all get hot and slosh around a bit so hopefully that's it, fingers crossed.
  12. Thanks for the info, my hopping is far from graceful but as soon as the weather picks up I'll get my GoPro out and get some of my attempts on video, you never know I might get some pointers and feedback.
  13. Haha I was pretty good at bicycle trials and can do about 4 or 5 hops on the back wheel of the GasGas on a good day, I just seem to make it look like hard work and get tired real quick so some pointers to fine tune it a bit would be cool.
  14. Cool, am after something that'll cover hopping the wheels around with ease, double blips, hopping about on the back wheel and such things lol
  15. Am looking for something that'll get me hopping around a bit more tbh
  16. Yeah I've actually already very briefly spoke to Steve, might do some of that this year.
  17. Maybe I'll stick with YouTube then, it's been pretty useful so far!
  18. Thanks that's what I was afraid of, won't waste my money then!
  19. Hmm, it's happening a lot lately on my desktop PC aswell using both Chrome and Firefox, I'll literally be logged out just by viewing different pages within the forum. Very odd as it's across different platforms that it's happening.
  20. So has anyone watched this? If so does it actually have some useful techniques in it or is it just a load of clips of Bou? The trailer has a lot of clips that are already on YouTube so not sure how useful it will be. I did have the Ryon Young DVD which was quite handy but lost it a few years ago. Failing that what about this: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=111554949542 Or this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=111569479933 .
  21. Ah yeah that makes sense, someone has tapped it in without it being lined up properly, I'm hoping it was long ago as I've had the bike for probably 6 months and haven't had any problems as yet.
  22. Dammit, it's happening again today, only cleared the cookies 2 days ago! lol
  23. Shaft has some grooves worn in to it that are about 0.2mm down on diameter which is 0.1mm per side which I beleive is more than enough to let coolant through and also too deep to be repaired by grinding the main diameter down. So have found a website that has one in stock so should have it done in a day or two. Also the shaft has two big chips in, one on either side around the holes for the drive pin (have circled one below)! Pretty sure the pieces are not in my engine as I'd have known about it by now, I can only assume that it has been damaged in the past when the previous owner changed the seals and tried to lever it out maybe?
  24. Just my luck, shaft is on back order! Got the deal and o-ring so will have to inspect my shaft and see whether it's repairable, can get on a cylindrical grinder at work and grind a tiny amount off of the diameter if need be as long as the seal is still a nice tight fit it should be OK. Worst comes to worst I'll just make a new one, turn it, case harden it and grind it.
  25. Actually it's Ok I've found a parts list. 1x AXLE: MT280218009 1x DRIVE PIN: MT280418006 1x SEAL: MT280210020 1x O-RING: MT280218008
