  1. you now you want to, so do it, if you build it as a rideable cub it will be ok if you start to go down the road of this has got to be a perfect replica of what it was it will certainly cost.
  2. May come across you sometime then, i got a twin shock, and come from a little down the road in cambridgeshire.

    Helicoil?

Hi, does any body know what size (and thread)the gearbox drain plug is in a 348 Montesa. I took it out to change the oil and had the thread away with it, iwas wondering if a helicoil would work. Thanks.
  8. Ta, i guess from the smiley you know its right, Scopa?, must be the S then
  9. The wheel bearing size for front wheel o3 sherco? I reckon british bearings of the same size must last longer. thanks
  10. Just got reply Steve will send one with his mod on, in exchange for mine
  11. All Sherco no all beta but it does sound simular and i know there a common fault on sherco also give steve a ring or if youve got a multimeter there are some tests you can do to check i asume you have checked the wiring on the cut out is not going to earth anywhere ?? just unlpug the cut out wiring then see if there is a spark if not then you could try the checks suggested on steves site good luck Message sent to Steve,(in hope) ive been told its the pick ups on the stator, a common problem on any thing spanish, and there not repairable. Mind you sherco dealer tells me he never sold a stator before and never had a problem with them. umm
  12. If it was just a timing problem, would i not still have a spark ?. The reply about the stator sounds about right, just my luck
  13. Last sunday started sherco, (in sandals, good move) it kicked back like a shire horse. After i had run around squealing like a pig, i came back and it was running real crap, put it in gear and went backwards. Ah, woodruff key, nope. Cant find any thing else. Help! Oh, forgot to say, no spark since.
