  1. Hi Johnny, In the end I trimmed up the original bracket - drilled it a little and powder coated it black, mounted with for ever shiny ti bolts - currently using original capacitor - next time i service i will mount the smaller capacitor on the original bracket in the original position with zip ties and a rubber pad. Looks a little neater. I will take a photo if of interest. Thanks, Mat
  2. Hello Ymirtrails, The capacitor was from Future Trails - Based in Italy but it a sum of all its parts so will takes some pics of the capacitor for you and you could build one quite easily. Best, Mat
  3. Hi Jimmyl, I did think that but read the below and think now think around the original position is the better option ? "Removing the fan relay mounting tang and Bank Angle sensor and mount leaves a lot more room for the main wiring connectors behind the cylinder. They tuck in much better under the throttle body in the large plastic sock. This leaves plenty of room for the fan relay to be sited between the main connector sock and the capacitor. Thus the relay moves inboard with much shorter wires. (There were two separate power wires running through the loom to the headstock and then back in the separate sleeve to the relay, but on unwrapping the loom the two wires were tee’d together nearer to the supply point.) I now have one much shorter wire running direct to the relay and tee’d just before the relay. The blue/black also now runs direct to the relay instead of up and back."
  4. Hello Chatlie44, To my untrained eye on the carbon version I either need to reshape the existing capacitor tang to site the fan relay or cut it off as it is redundant with the new smaller capacitor ? Either way i still need to fabricate a bracket for the rear brake reservoir and maybe the fan relay unless I just tuck it away. I am know thinking that a lightened (drilled) and adapted powder coated factory bracket that cleans the are up is a smarter option ? Any thoughts ?
  5. Hello, Has any one fitted a lightweight capacitor and / or a carbon rectifier base. Is the new smaller capacitor just zip tied on? Is it good practice to heat shrink or rubber mount the capacitor in some way or will it survive as is - current size is 22 mm x 31 mm ? Not convinced with the carbon bracket and am thinking of modding the existing metal bracket to suit so the fan regulator mount and rear brake reservoir remain and smaller capacitor fits in a similar way on the mock up ??. Any help or pics to show what others have done please ?
  6. ....if you email Alpinestars Europe they will either supply or could quote for repair. Very pro active or C I sport are the official Alpinestars Off road distributor and have been for a long time so could probably help.
  7. .....wanted to buy a ti bolt for the front sprocket standard is M8 x 33mm. I can only find M8 by 30mm or 35mm on the internet for £3.50 ish. Does these few mm matter - anybody else found an alternative ? Please advise, Thanks, Mat
  8. Cheers Basil, Much appreciated.
  9. I want to get a clutch hose made up for a 05 model - can anyone advise the length of clutch hose off a newer model supplied as standard with Fatbars as they will be longer than my current hose. Thanks in advance ! Mat
  10. ...Correct 2016 Repsols have longer carbon guards as standard. I sourced one for the same reason from MSPORT but also found the available from spanish internet retailers / trials specialist. Too expensive to buy from Honda for what it is.
  11. I would be interested in an alloy plate also if they could be re - manufactured.
  12. ...thanks Gents, help much appreciated !
  13. Hello, Does anyone know if a Ohlins shock (as advertised on the tinterweb auction site) will fit a 2005 4rt ? (I think 2005 to 2008 had shorter shock length ? I have been informed that the Ohlins was built for 2014 bikes / shock lengths but does it matter?
